I see the effort made here, lot of line work.., all cards unique, left handed fan numbering...nice, but...not that much artistic skill. All looks too sketchy, like if it was drawing practice for the real thing. Seeing this cards makes me say..."OK, the sketches are nice, now let's see what you can do with them...for real"
I guess he wanted the deck to look this way, I understand.
I like the design ideas on cards, there's a lot to see, maybe the designer should explain in text (on KS page) what (some) specific designs on cards represent. (I saw the four elements on the back even before I watched the video, though)
The prices of deck,...too high. Especially for the first design. And saying that "with a better quality deck of cards comes a higher price point".. is not really saying much (in this case).
Print quality, we all know Legends and USPCC decks. If he's talking about artistic work..., I have a feeling he'll understand better in a month (after KS funding) how many high quality decks and designers have projects on KS.
Hope you take all this as a constructive critique (if the designer reads this).
Let's say it's a good deck, good first design (from 1-10 I'd give it a 4+) and I hope to see more of your work soon on KS.
