Alex, when you get a chance, go ahead and post some pictures for the membership. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

I'll do it fo sure

I expect a
perfect storm in June! I want to finalize the back design and boxes first. At least I'll show some options if the design is not final.

Hi! I have some questions about our UC2019 deck.
1. What do you expect from this project?
2. What premium features you'd like to see in a limited print run (KS exclusive?)?
3. How many decks?
4. Should we produce premium edition only (with foil)?
5. What about a Cardistry deck variant? It's hard to convert this "classic" deck into something modern, but I have some ideas.
Any comments are welcome! Thank you!

A deck that is green.
montenzi wrote:2. What premium features you'd like to see in a limited print run (KS exclusive?)?
Embossed and/or foiled/UV spot-glossed tuck would be nice, but it should fit the feel (and the timeline) of the project. I trust your judgment.

montenzi wrote:4. Should we produce premium edition only (with foil)?
If you think you can get it done in time, go nuts. It's always nice to see more Cartamundi cold foil.
montenzi wrote:5. What about a Cardistry deck variant? It's hard to convert this "classic" deck into something modern, but I have some ideas.
I'm sure you do, but respectfully I think this campaign needs to be as streamlined as possible, given the circumstances. Make a project you're proud of, but keep it simple. That's my opinion, anyhow.
EDIT: Ohhhh, did you mean "how many decks" as in "how many
editions"??? No more than two, then. (I thought you meant the size of the print run

)

1. Green deck and maybe limited one. Give a perk in survey to UC members like Rick did with DeNova.
2. Foil, UV on tuck, NO GILDING, inner foil on tuck.
3. 2 only please.
3. Yes
5. Pass for me.
This will be my first Montezi deck because, no offense, your style isn't for me. I hope there will be some standardization to the deck.

1. Two decks: a regular (burgundy) and a limited (green) one
2. Embossed and foiled deck;
3. Just two
4. Possibly but would be nice to have a duo of decks
5. Not a cardist - afaic, there have been too many of the cardistry decks so I don’t think we need another one.

Cold foil the hell out of the decks. Yeah, that’s it.

+1
I would say just two decks total. Wouldn't care for a cardistry deck but there are a lot of cardists on UC who might.

Keep it simple! I'd rather have 1 nice, basic deck before 12/31 then 3 foiled, blinged decks in 2020. I personally like obvious UC branding.

1. Despite the title of the forum and community being United Cardists, I feel like there is a larger collecting and art based contingent here than cardists. Therefore I would expect a custom deck most likely in the community color.
2. On the tuck I would like to see foil and embossing and a matte stock. On the cards I would like to see cold foil front and back accents.
3. I would say a 2 deck max.
4. I would like to see both decks, if there are 2, being premium. At least the tucks. I could live with a standard, but different, deck and a deck with foil.
5. I am down for the style being cardistry friendly but if there is a separate cardistry design, I would like the option to not get the entire set if I do not like the design.

i believe your last 2 campaigns have had 4 decks, correct me if im wrong....I also would like a premium cold foiled involving the UC colour.....cardistry deck...I cant do cardistry, i like the Virts decks and i like the Mono x, not sure if this is for cardistry. If you have already experimented, show us what you have got, i would definitely back the UC deck and any off shoots and any standards

1. Simple and quick, in time for 2019
2. Cold foil cards, inner tuck foiling
3. Three - Blue, Red, and Ltd Edition UC Green cold foil deck
4. No, the UC Annual deck is a promotional deck that should be easily accessible for all
5. Sadly, no. For simplicity's sake, keep it to 3 decks and make a kick ass cardistry deck for a different project.
I would echo Paul and would like to see a lot of UC branding on the tuck and Ace of Spades and Jokers. I would like to see a standard Blue and Red deck with blinged out tucks (foiled, embossed, inner tuck printing, numbered) at $14 per deck with volume discounts, and a Limited Edition UC Green cold foiled deck, limited to one per backer, at $20 per deck. I would like to see EB tiers available only to registered UC members, plus the option to purchase additional Limited UC Green cold foiled decks only for UC members as exclusive forum perks. Thanks for doing this deck and being open to suggestions from UC members.

I like the messages hidden in those word clouds
"cold UC decks"
"cardists like foiled"
"see embossed UC foil"

You know, I should try other ideas first

Just one simple example/sketch. Imagine this with foil!

OK, I'm convinced haha, although your obsession with foil never disappoints
As long as those intricate mosaic patterns in the center remain partially in the back design, I'll be happy

And, FWIW, I remain a fan of borderless backs.

It didn't take 6 months to 2 years to make each design or recolor? Amazing!

That point would make for excellent "anti-hype" marketing: "These card backs were literally *minutes* in the making...."

I really like c453, both design-wise and in color-scheme (closest to UC green).

Ok. Most of those variations are just my attempt to fix the original design's symmetry. But when I rotate this design by 45 degrees, I don't like it as well.
How I made my last sketch? Download: [REMOVED] I'll remove this file tomorrow.
Please DON'T POST images from this archive here! And please don't worry about my taste

It's just a process to produce 200 trash designs and to test color balance to find just one final design.
I'll post some semi-final designs soon.
