The argument seems to be that is they don't need different plates, they can just re-print the decks using differing colours. However from my understanding - which could be wrong - the black cards are going to be 99*% black printing on a white stock, whereas the white cards will be 1*% black printing on the same white stock... or am I completely incorrect and USPCC prints White ink on black stock for black decks?
If I am right regarding the colours/stock they are at least going to need different plates for the 'K" part of CMYK... which invalidates his proposition.
I know they can print different colours from the same plates - after all we ended up with the purple White Lions a few years ago which was supposedly the decks printed whilst they swapped from red to blue ink (or vice versa) in the middle of the print run.
