Sent them a message on kickstarter but haven't had a reply.

That's what we did, got no answer whatsoever then, I guess they were simply saving a group of orders for last (international? With specific items?).

My Triplicates arrived today - but were only posted on the 9th October. Hence USPS was much more prompt in getting it to me than Michael/HRG were.

Packaging was plenty of bubble wrap around the decks inside a large thick envelope. Not exactly ensuring safe arrival - but in my case they were all fine.

After receiving them - as others have noted - I'm not as interested as during the KS campaign. Yeah, OK, but nothing really that special. Glad I was more reserved with the Maugers.

Still haven't gotten that tracking number from a couple of weeks ago. I went lighter on the Mauger, but didn't change the pledge amount (which I wish KS would change - if you pledge a different tier your pledge amount should go down), so I had to do a bunch of add-ons.

I can't see myself backing anything from this guy again. Also, it seems the way to go (for almost any KS) is buy (pledge for) one deck then just do add-ons. It was cheaper to get the set of Maugers I pledged for as add-ons than it was by the pledge.

That's weird. I've never had that problem. If I'm on a higher tier and I switch to a lower one, it changes my pledge to the lower one. I've never been overcharged after changing tiers.

It happened to me on this one - I sent a message to Michael Scott and never heard back. I figure there's no way to get the money back, so I filled out the damn backer kit. I expect my decks by Easter.

FOLLOW-UP: Got my tracking number promised two weeks ago. Pre-shipment info sent yesterday. Sent today.

Hikeeba, why didn't you fill out the BackerKit in the first place? Genuinely curious, not trying to be snarky.

I think Hikeeba was saying that he accidentally pledged for too much (due to revising his pledge to a lower tier - but the pledge total not changing) and hence was hoping that Michael would return some of that money. When that failed, he ended up using BackerKit to use up the addtional funds (and hence probably end up with stuff he wasn't that interested in, but rather than just donating to Michael/HRG).

Correct me if I'm wrong./

I think that he is listening. I got mine about a month ago now, but not before I went to KS and wrote him. Of course he was going to fulfill mine so I would think things were looking up. I'm glad I went with an absolute minimum on the Mauger decks! Of course nobody will ever see those... He's got two or three accounts on KS, right? I got a pair of Stainless and pair of Copper decks in the same shipment, and I had no idea "Jeff" and HRG were even associated with one another. Another soon-to-be Hall of Shame entry.

To me it looks more like he thinks that all his backers die.... So he starts from there, if no one is complaining then there's no need to ship the decks to them, because most likely they must die in the mean time....

I also had to message him to get my tracking number.... Yep, he also thought I was dead...

This is the project I most regret backing, neither backing Founders make me feel as bad as this one (honest true)...

I guess the point I was trying to make is that I bet he saw my name and filled the order, knowing that I would post a "finally received my Triplicates" here and (maybe) take a little of the pressure off. I hate being used.

Depends. If it's by a tall redhead wearing latex.... I'll stop there. Family board and all.... :ugthink:

Sad that such great decks could be offered by someone who isn't going to put 100% into the project after it closes. At least with Elements it was a mediocre deck at best and I only pledged for two.

Oh, I got one of the Mauger decks. I was still waiting for the Triplicate decks and didn't even know that he owed me those metal decks. How many other accounts does he have?

IDK but isn't there a rule against that? I noticed Alien Ink also has Alien Slink. Funny that he puts after the names. Neither are trademarked.

Update to incompetence: Got my brick, but the Limiteds are missing. Hey- why ship once when you can ship twice?

(And apparently he didn't spring for Q1 - uneven borders - now I have a one-way deck. Yay, me?)

It might only be a mistake mate, we got our brick and everything was inside. On the other end, one deck got smashed... Shipping one brick in an envelope internationally is NOT a good idea.

Well, there is but it's generally accepted that you can have a 'backer' and 'creator' account, at least that's the way it works in practice. It's been a while since I waded through the Terms of Service, which isn't exactly a light read. I can't say much there - I have my own account and the UC account, of course - but there is no misdirection intended.

Trademarks are a funny thing, you file paperwork for the "®" (Registered) trademark, but I'm not certain exactly what the process is these days to 'claim' a simple trademark.

sinjin7 - can you enlighten us on that, please?

Touch of Modern has the red and blue decks for $9.99 each and the coins for $8.99. I think you have to be a member to view the prices, but here is the link:
