Don't get lost in calculations, multiplying and dividing to find a price per deck. Patreon isn't a way to get decks through monthly installments -although you can see it like this.

With such a backlog people have been known to do a runner when they feel snowed under or in need of a change

It is almost like he has used the funds to fulfill prior rewards and is always playing catchup. I don't understand how he retains support while being years behind on delivering and with little communication. Others are welcome to continue the support but I don't see it necessary to talk down people's worries. Lotrek can do that.

For those who didn't get the update and therefore dont have the context for the continued complaining above.

Almost all the Y1 patron edition decks are damaged, not on the same card so he's trying to se how many 'complete' decks he has. the options are if there arent enough to give for free to the backers who are owed them. Im guessing it's two questions because some people are owed two copies, (or more). so while there may be 1 copy to go around there may not be 2X or 3X hence the option to replace some but not all of them with a different deck.

These damages apparently happened during varnishing since I didn't notice any problems of that kind during foiling.

I rewrote a few words initially just to try to make one thing clear, hes talking about 1 every copy of one deck, not every variant that was due for year1.

It happens because on all his really nice decks he is doing some very hands on work that has many stages, any one of which might go south because they are not tried and true but at the edge of what might be achieved. If it isn’t dang near impossible to make, its not one of his hot decks, not to me at least.

The damage is on different cards of the decks being boxed. He speculated the final varnish did damage on the edge of a bunch of cards but not all of them as it was random during the varnishing process. He also speculated that it might not end up being an issue as he printed a bunch of extra decks just in case. He said that it would take about 5 decks to make 3 complete ones without damage. He won't know for sure until they've finished sorting through and making complete undamaged decks.

Very frustrating update. Those options HAVE to be a joke. We can't have waited for Patrons for this long for it to be scraped or for us not to get the amount for which we paid. Unconscionable. Why was it appropriate to give us the option to reprint last time, but not this time?

Yeah, this was not the update I would have liked to read. I get Lotrek's tough spot and can't blame him for not wanting to do yet another reprint. At this point, whatever...Hopefully something will wow me in the future. Lightning can't keep hitting Lotrek...then again, this is Lotrek. His stuff is amazing, but it can be a wild ride. I am still supporting him. Don't loose your passion Lotrek.

With almost everything you write on UC I'm 99.9% unison. This post is the 0.1% though.

Lotrék makes decks for more than a decade now. When it comes to foilwork, he did Oath (artwise shit but no inks, only foil is something, I give him that), Damask, Arabésque and Silk many, many half-moons (pun-intended) ago and has not exceeded these works to this day. You would think with more years there comes more expertise but quite contrary, the delays are getting out of hand.
I get that he can't control everything but come on, now it seems like everything he touches turns to shit??? Like opposite Midas' touch .
