For posterity:
This is listed as both "Tourists" and "The Tourist" on their siteDec. 2 wrote:Tourists (Rushmore "Special Edition"), $35.00 [SOLD OUT]
The Special Edition of The Tourists Playing Cards is a never-before-released edition of the Tourists playing cards. The tuck features a white paper with Mount Rushmore featured in the vignette on the front of the tuck. This edition is numbered 1/150. We only have numbers 51-150 available for this edition, 1-50 were set aside for the Legacy Edition. The cards are gilded a matte silver gilding.
Legacy Edition, $72.00 [SOLD OUT]
We took 50 of the Rushmore Special Edition, numbers 1-50, and put them in a black walnut case. We engraved 'The Tourists' logo on the wood case. The Legacy Edition features the same tuck and gilding as the Special Edition.

Beautiful backs. I take it these courts are KWP standards?

could be an interesting one "gilded overruns", the picture is of the recent "crayon" deck (gilded variant).

(after someone on reddit posted a shot of the new "postage paid" I was expecting to see that was next...probably on the list for the coming week)

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
I got a fez card as a thrown on an earlier order, I was impressed enough that I used the base deck as a $50 (free shipping) filler on an earlier order in this promotion
now I have two fez decks...oh well

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Some of these legacies are ludicrous. X/24, with 15 in bundles, #1 kept for JR, one for a giveaway, leaving only 7 up for grabs.
I'm guessing there's a desire to increase value and create hype on the KWP front but maximizing artificial rarity, but I know I'd be upset if I really wanted one of these and wasn't able to acquire one.

I fell asleep at the wheel and missed the crayon overrun, but I did manage a Fez - good nuf.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Many years ago I was a KWP completionist. I backed his first campaign and went all-in on quite a few others after that. I still own almost 150 unique KWP decks and over 350 in total, but I haven't bought one directly in over 4 years and only picked up a few from Penguin Magic to round out orders in recent times. It became clearly impossible just to keep up with even the base decks, especially if you were international. Way too many times of missing out on special sales, even as a subscriber, and once the Internaltional collated shipping stopped it just was far too expensive.kevork wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:31 pm Some of these legacies are ludicrous. FOMO left the building a long time ago for me. Variant after variant and reprint after reprint. I still think that Jackson can be an amazing designer and has done some incredible work. But it's no longer something I want to "chase".

He hyped up the 12 days a lot this year, but with only 4 days left, I'm pretty underwhelmed.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
I can appreciate that, Im buying something about every other day it seems so its working on me.
its mostly releases of things we knew about (and yes sometimes pretty gimmicky). I think a lot of people want something they didn't know existed which ...might not have been realistic.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
I mean, he did specifically say that he had new decks as part of it. And also that there'd be stuff that would blow our minds ( he mentioned that a few times in his weekly update videos). I'm not chuffed at all about it. It just means I'm not spending more money.Evilgamer wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:37 pm I can appreciate that, Im buying something about every other day it seems so its working on me.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Still could be, we seem to be getting a lot of indications that there is at least a new VARIATION for overbite coming I think I put my over/under at 1 entirely new thing over that.
a lot of them haven't been available outside of subscriptions but there just weren't 12 entirely new decks no.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Thus far, nothing has grabbed me this go around either. Im in for Overbite, if its available (havent been following closely, so not clear if it is something that will be widely available or will get vacuumed up by subscribers).

normal editions(red/blue/green), will be available, shouldn't be an issue
gilded versions outside black at least...we (subs) are going to buy any that exist, maybe the limiteds too
legacy versions, wont make it out of subscribers.
Black versions if you are in at 12 if I have to guess...you'll get what you want even gilded there will likely be several hundred of these and none went to existing subs like the other versions.
if you just want a standard black edition those shouldn't go out of stock possibly for years assuming they dont pull a curve here and only do limited editions of this.
subscribers only get 10minutes but people are DEFINITELY camping the page.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Yeah, so far the only thing I would buy is the black variant of Overbite, to have one from the series. Looks fun and unique enough to add to the collection.
Does anyone know if the standard version of The Fez is foiled? It would play a role in whether or not I'll buy that deck.

the regular fez has at least metallic inks if not foil on both the faces and backs.kevork wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:45 pm Yeah, so far the only thing I would buy is the black variant of Overbite, to have one from the series. Looks fun and unique enough to add to the collection.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
Hmm, looks too shiny to be metallic inks. Might be cold foil.
Was the deck you photographed a standard one? I see it's not gilded but just want to be sure, as some KWP decks have had foil be on the limited version and not on the standard.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
I dont have a deck in hand...yet..... I did order both a standard and then when it came up...gilded this week
I have a single ungilded card (order throwin), I found that single card shiny enough to order the two decks above.
