Featuring intricate details and stunning designs, the keyhole deck brings together inspiration from victorian era keyholes and 18th-century grandfather clocks.

Reason: Fixed the Kickstarter banner. FYI: It's the "kickup" tags we use, the "kickstarter" tags doesn't work for some reason.

Some nice alterations but way too standard for my liking. I'll have to pass.

Shower thought: Why do people put renders of fans in their campaigns when the deck is clearly not designed with fans/cardistry in mind? 🤔
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I had the same thought.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Just saying there's some curiosity happening here. I think there are some good things to offer and if you're a fan of clock (faces?) and keys and holes for keys to fit in, this definitely a deck for you. The jokers are grandfather clocks, which is the inspiration for the deck. At least that's what's claimed on the campaign page. That's great, I dig on me some grandfather clocks. I don't often dig on some one way card backs. Although to be honest I have a great number of them in my collection at this point so why be bias about that? I won't be.

I wish I could understand the direction of this card back a bit better than I do but ultimately it's not a big deal. The bigger deal to the card back is that I don't think it's finished or rather that the elements are disjointed. Maybe it's something of a lost in translation moment or perhaps it's laziness. Maybe even laziness on my part because I can't seem to see past the initial... Look it's sloppy in my opinion. I'm not one to beat up on a deck and I honestly hope this one funds for the people who love it, truly I do. There's just some thing I don't understand. Some questions I have over the direction and tidiness of the card back. Whats the deal with the weird little oval on it's side dead center of the card back? Why are they key heads on the corners sloppy weird versions of keyholes? What's the deal with the lack of hands on the clock faces? Why is there a big rosette in behind the large keyholes? Whats the purpose of those sprockets all just hanging out on the sides? I'm sure there's some method to this that I'm not seeing. Is it a mystery I want to solve though? I have more questions but ultimately I just don't feel like this card back ties in well with itself at all. Maybe subjective but in my opinion I don't think this is a finished design.

I'll leave it at that and not talk about the courts or the inspiration of the deck jokers. Saving your eyes from more of my texty bits and say I don't feel like this is a finished deck. I think it's a start point going in many directions. Best of luck. :)

I don't think Brock was interested in having a dialog about this creation. I think it was an attempt at advertising in a place where card collectors frequently look in on to see if something new and fun is on the threshold. Like we do when we load up Kickstarter once a week and have a peek. I don't want to be the assumption monster here but I think a nice pat on the back is what they were after in the first place.

At least it has a more realistic funding goal than a lot of these recent campaigns. Also has a slightly better shipping price. Good to see those two things in this age of "Hose um on shipping and underfund the project!" shenanigans. So pat on the back for those thats.

In olden days you had to wind clock springs with a key.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Not with that kind of key...
