Boss Deck - Kickstarter Live
Ryan North is gonna learn to draw from us--and he's getting one of these decks. Which is pretty sweet, because Adventure time, along with Zelda and Monkey Island... these are things that inspire us!!

The project is about teaching drawing but we have a £12 reward that you may like to check out. Early birds grab the deck for £8

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
I doubt you'll get a lot of pledges from people here seeing that you have to spend £37 to get a deck. I wish you good luck though, seems like an interesting project.

Hmm, maybe we should make it clearer on the site that it's only a £12 pledge for the deck with shipping included..

I noticed that the Deck has it's own Kickstarter... will that be going Live?

How much for shipping to the US? Only way to get deck only is for a single early bird pledge of 8 pounds? I like the concept of the deck
Good Luck!

Shipping is free to the US
Thanks for the nice words elcyciB!
@Badpete..
The card kickstarter can be found on the draw like boss kickstarter under Ryan Norths silhouette since they won't allow us to put up two projects at the same time... we've had to direct people to a site that isn't online if they want to see the cards themselves.
Please try not to double post. Just edit your previous post.
..Apologies to the above

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
Possibly. I would have to speak to the creator. I will once the project is live.
Thanks!
Edit: I didn't realize the project was live, sorry about that. The deck is $18USD, I just can't see us working things out.

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
Ah I see. What rate do you normally pay for those? If the project is successful, there will be a minimum order of 2.5k from Bicycle. We'd be more than happy for you to take 1-3 gross.
If you were interested, you could pledge the cost of those cards on our kickstarter. Then if it funds, we'll get your order to you. Obviously if the project doesnt make, none of your money is deducted.

Sorry, we don't participate in Kickstarter for many reasons, not the least of which is, all the problems with past decks.
Thanks!

Right here:Jay where do you see a Kickstarter just for the deck?? All I see is the main Kickstarter Draw like a boss
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ash ... f=kicktraq" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Kickstarter page that illustrates the deck-only is in the Kickstarter DRAFT section. You can't pledge from that.
To get this deck you have to go to the Draw Like A Boss Kickstarter page, listed above, then you'll see that the third backing level, in the right-side margin, is called "EARLY BIRD // I ONLY WANT THE BOSS DECK!!!" (Apparently, drawlikeaboss is big into ALLCAPS

Early bird is £8, regular is £12. I backed at the early bird.
All the specs seem right on point ... USPCC, fully two-way, gorgeous design (at least for me), and as you can see above, everything is custom ... Aces, courts, pips. The only down-side is that it's part of a larger project that needs a lot of help to reach its funding goal. They're only at 21% with 18 days to go. The good news is that they've gotten some publicity lately so they might get a big mid-project bump. I'm definitely hoping they get it!

I like the court cards, but the box and back design are too bland for my taste.

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
I think the failing of the Shishou deck and possibly this project (although this hasn't failed yet, and if it does there are some other reasons it may) is actually on the shoulders of Kickstarter/Amazon.
They have launched the new Kickstarter England system where the goal is in Pounds not dollars. And even bigger it doesn't link to your Amazon account like the American/Dollar projects. Instead you have to enter a credit card.
I think people don't feel secure adding their credit card again and not working through Amazon.
Also the majority of backers of all projects are American and many Americans don't feel comfortable dealing with money conversions (an issue foreign backers have to deal with on a daily basis, so are probably quite comfortable with).
I don't think the number of backers from Great Britain is significant enough to warrant a separate system for them and people just prefer to ignore the projects that have the pound symbol on them, unless they have their socks blown off by them.
I think some of these issues also affect foreign (non- british) backers as well. Many have become use to dealing with dollars and Amzaon and may prefer to ignore this new system until it becomes more inline with the standard American Dollar kickstarter.
The way I see it, right now, no project funded in British pounds will reach the full potential that they could if it was listed in Dollars. I am not sure if people from England can list in American dollars anymore due to the system set up for them, and if this is the case it is a huge disservice to those project creators

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
I really liked the SiShou deck and hated it was not successful. I also really like the Boss deck, once I understood it as not being just a deck project.
UtterFool, I do agree with you. I have not gotten much from outside of US so have not had many chances to deal with the related issues. The currency thing should be interesting to see if the conversion is reasonable or if the rate is just a way the transaction processor tries to make more from buyer/seller (depending on which side you are on). Right or wrong I also do feel like it is a little more risky, just because I am not as familiar with mailing processes or problem resolution if there is a problem. Not trying to imply inside US means you have no problems, I am just more familiar with the risks and the resolution options.
Anyway, I did pledge for Boss, so we shall see (assuming and hoping it will get funded).
As an aside, the folks on the Boss project did add a new level for 3 decks at £22. Should be about $33 USD, so about $11 a deck all-in. To me, did not seem unreasonable, and given some recent Kickstarter projects, actually better. Especially since I like the deck.

Re: BOSS DECK KICKSTARTER LIVE
This project has now reached his funding goal. So for those who want to get in on a deck, now is the time to do it
Re: Boss Deck - Kickstarter Live
This project took off and went CRAZY. They received more money pledged on just the last day alone than in the first two weeks combined. The Project Total ended up at £51,833, 173% of goal, and that comes out to something like $79K in dollars.
Of course, that's not $79K for the Boss Deck ... the deck was just an extra on a fundamentally different project. But still. What a crazy ride. With a week to go, they were edging EVER so close, and it looked like they were finally gonna hit their £30,000 mark--but just barely. They hit their goal on day #30, with just four days left ... and then in those last four days they almost doubled the funding (adding £21,833). The Kicktraq graphs are amazing, and frankly, the amount of work that the project creators put into their community of backers was incredible.
This was a lot of fun. And a great-looking deck, too.

I agree! I'm in for two decks and the PDF. Such a great project. Felt so strongly about it that I went ahead to up my pledge in the last hour.
