Fontaine RIPNDIP

Unread post by rkoch78 »

Looks like a new Fontaine being released. Does not interest me but some of you may like or be trying to collect all of the Fontaine's.

Collab with streetwear brand RIPNDIP.

Looks to be printed by USPCC. Definitely adds to the debate of USPCC's approval process.

Wow, I hadn't seen the aces or courts before - if USPCC is actually printing these and wouldn't print Outlaws, I have no words....

First Riffle Shuffle's Neon Line deck and now this!!! USPCC literally stated to Lee their decision to not approve his original Outlaws by rationalizing:
The response was, if they allowed my "middle finger" artwork to go through, they would have to allow any others to go through (and there have been many apparently).
But at this point though, they have absolutely NO justification for turning down any deck design featuring any number of middle fingers EVER! like what the actual f*ck! To be honest, I kinda just wanna submit my own designs of a deck with nothing but middle fingers as a big F-you to USPCC for being so ridiculously inconsistent in how they honor (or rather don't) their "Offensive Artwork Policy" that had demanded the Outlaws deck to be redesigned

I don't know what brand is worse: Fontaine or Madison?

Kill them both. Die.

Most companies give preferential treatment to bigger customers over smaller ones, but making printed evidence of your preferential treatment available for retail purchase is a new one on me. USPCC should have just told Lee upfront that their "company policy" only applies when they don't think they can make more money by ignoring it.

In honor of USPCC and Fontaine, I move we make this the official UC Middle Finger GIF Memorial Thread.

yes, this is when I wish I had more than two middle fingers; or better yet, that any/all of the other fingers would be able to evoke the same level of offense and obscenity to truly express my disdain for USPCC decision in this matter lol

but, until then, I guess we all just gotta get creative:

I thought about buying this deck for shits and giggles but then I realized that just tossing my cash into a paper shredder would be a better use of both my time and money. At least when it's all said and done I'd have pretty green confetti to show for it.

The real winner here is RIPNDIP, how on earth did they manage a collab with Fontaine after an established brand like Guess?

RIPNDIP is very established. Every teenager swear by them. My 16 year old passed by my computer earlier and immediately noticed the brand. I of course had never heard of them until recently

Sure it's trendy right now and they have an LA store - meanwhile Guess has hundreds of locations and revenue in the billions. Just seems strange to me is all :) Seems to be working for Fontaine so ???

In my opinion, Fontaine are tacky, tasteless, and dull looking cards!! If you need to Collab with high end company to sell then that said it all.
