You took the words right outta my mouth. 100% agree.Räpylätassu wrote:I really hope that this does not get funded, as this project simply existing pisses me off. But then again cardists buy anything if you slap enough of hype words around it, no matter sh*tty the deck is, so wouldn't really suprise me if this gets something like 90 000 USD for funding, because after all it is innovative. elegant. classic. limited. unique finish and stock. simple. perfect for cardistry and magic. and whatever the f*ck you have to say to make this kind of bullsh*t to sell, which it does every single time, because of a horde of idiots and fanboys who don't either seem to have working eyes or brains.
Like I said, this pisses me off. This project is complete and utter bullsh*t.

Did they back just to be able to comment...? That's... an intense level of commitment.TwoPieceFeed wrote:1 of the 8 backer's comments:

My man!Bradius wrote:If that is the case. I recommend him go for something like a proofing set from someone like MPC and sell it as a really limited issue. That way, he can keep the total amount down to a minimum, sell a few to cover the cost, keep a few for himself and family.
In addition to finding ways to bring down his funding goal to a realistic level, he should mainly focus on trying to improve and customize his cards. I can tell you how many Fontaine decks I have in my collection. None.

That was my question, too. My guess is he has a parent signing on the dotted line for him. Some kids have expensive or entrepreneurial hobbies, so good on him if he's being supported in that; better to get your dumb mistakes out early. I think it's more concerning that this project wasn't immediately distinguishable from others of equal quality launched by people twice his age, which is a bit sad for those guys.TwoPieceFeed wrote:"I'm gonna keep launching until I get money." Can he legally launch a Kickstarter at 14 years old..?
Off topic I know but why are the Fontaine decks so popular and expensive?!? I have zero interest in them.Bradius wrote:If that is the case.
