Thank you Lotrek for sharing, such a great piece of work.

Will there be a version with white cards aswell? I’m not a fan of black cards at all (will have to buy it most certainly anyways ^^). Even worse if they aren’t black stock and just printed black.

I'm on the fence, actually. Maybe there will be 2 versions, one black the other white.

I hope I'll be able to show the finished card in 2-3 days.

Would definetly be great. I mean, I’m most definetly going to buy a black version anyways, but for gameplay I prefer white (or off-white/ebony) cards.

I also think ivory would look good for these - probably better than white. It does mean one more color to check, though, and pale shades like that always seem tricky to match.

Yah, the white definetly should have a vintage look to it. A plain modern “blue” white is definetly not for these cards.

But I would totally understand if there wouldn’t be a white version because Bosch’s bigger works are with dark backgrounds, so it will be a hard task to transfer the same vibe to another background.

I wouldn’ t have a problem with 3 versions !

A black variant, a “cocaine-white” (vintage) variant and the regular white variant. No matter what you do Lotrek, count me in for all variants !

I second the motion to include the willies, they're integral to the original artwork! It's not like they're detailed at all. I also don't like the white, the artwork is warm, white is cold, it clashes in an unpleasing way, I'd rather it all feel cozy, if there even is a white version.

Strange as it seems to come out in support of, I also say: stay true to the art. Even including nudity and hellish violence. As someone who is already earmarking money for this deck, that's exactly what attracts me to Bosch in the first place.

Never crossed my mind any kind of censorship. I will stay true to the core of the art but I'll also change things to make it more suitable for playing cards. I'm not copy-pasting elements neither am I just redrawing them. The challenge is incredible and I still wonder why on Earth I decided to do it...

For the part with the wiener, I couldn’t care less if there is one or not. On Lotrek’s joker the hip is turned slightly away from the spectator, therefore no wiener. On the original the hip is turned towards the observer, therefore wiener.

I don’t think Bosch’s artistic legacy is defined by a peepee. ^^

Lotrek's Joker is unfinished. Most of what you see is just a sketch.

Yes. The plan is to go myself there and supervise printing in an effort to make sure they'll be as much delayed as possible!
