Bill, although many of the points I made in the comments of your project page were somewhat address in your latest update (
sorta… I guess…
I mean, only in the sense that you immediately went on the defense of your words/actions and then resorted to the lame excuse of only being human, not being perfect and making mistakes - as we all obviously are and do
- to justify not having to take accountability for your own part in how you contributed to the conflict in all of this... but whatevs...
), one question I had asked in particular - and is probably of most significance - wasn't mentioned, which is
why?
Why, in the final last hours of the funding period of your campaign, did/do you find it critically necessary to reignite strife both within the community here at UC and on your own project page??? Do you really have so much vengeful animosity towards those that freely expressed unfavorable opinions about you and your deck? Sure, I think everyone here agrees that discussions shouldn’t have deteriorated as they obviously had with the name-calling and personal attacks and, as I said, it’s understandable that you would take personal offense to some extent, but are you really gunna let your hurt feelings and bruised ego cause you to hold onto so much hatred as to continue to pick fights with the community long after everyone else was already ready to let go and moved on (and actually had)? And to what ends? When is enough going to be enough for you?
Cause if you’re looking for sincere apologies from random internet strangers for things said on a completely open-access public forum where freedom of speech and privacy are staunchly protected, well, I’m sorry to inform you that that’s just not going to happen. Like,
ever. And, if that's the case, I think you need to seriously re-assess and manage your expectations because, again,
that's just not going to happen and most definitely not after all of this. Allow me to one last time remind you and everyone else that the discord that occured here at UC was not one-sided and you had played a role in it as well. With that said, we are
not going to endlessly continue to address those past matters by continuing to childishly pointing the finger and cast blame in this ridiculous game of who-said-what any further as faults fall equally on
both sides and it seems to be a moot point anyways in trying to move forward.
What I am attempting to address is your actions
now and your decision, without any provocation from anyone whatsoever, to needlessly bring back up and persistently rehash altercations you personally had and willingly participated in with other members that have since long passed – especially after the opportunity to start new was extended and warmly welcomed by everyone – and to do so by bashing our entire community so publicly on another platform. This has only served to re-open old wounds, stir up even more drama (especially by involving people that were/are not involved, nor want to be) and antagonize others to breed hostility within the community
ONCE AGAIN. Unfortunately, you and you alone are the cause of this and there’s really no other way of diverting blame for your deliberately malicious words/actions.
Com’on Bill, you’re better than that. The way you’re choosing to act out is beneath you and, at this point, you should now recognize that. Stop getting all caught up in your hurt feelings and stop drinking the haterade. Re-evaluate your priorities and focus on what’s really important (maybe try remembering why you even took on pursuing such a passion project to begin with, hmm?) so you can stop petulantly looking to pick fights with the UC community, only to then cast yourself as the victim even though you’re now the one causing problems with your relentless agitations. I really wanted and tried to be supportive of you and your project from the start and even later despite your role in prior squabbles as you seemed like a decent enough dude with your heart in the right place in regard to the noble cause you’re championing for, but in all honesty, you’re making it very difficult for me to remain neutral in order to mediate and ease the tensions you've raised as you’re divisively fabricating this all into a ‘us vs. them’ narrative to suit your petty, self-serving needs and I really can’t allow you be so reckless with your words and actions as it hurts all of us – not just the UC community, but the wider playing card community as a whole when you seek destruction of a place intended to foster collaboration and support of one another – members and non-members of the UC community alike and everyone else involved in the industry/market of the hobby including KS backers, designers, producers, manufacturers, promoters, resellers, etc.
So again, I ask,
why? what do you hope to gain from creating all of this hostility?
And is it really personally worth it for you? (like seriously, is it
really though??)
And when is enough going to finally be enough for you to eventually just let go, walk away and move on?? Will you ever even be able to let go of this? or are you content in so strongly holding this bitterness and grudge against the community forever with you for your indignations?
I'm sincerely asking as these most recent turn of events are quite concerning and disturbing...

.
ps. By the way, I didn’t mention in the comments on your project page the fact that we didn’t and generally don’t drag our mud through multiple social media platforms because we prefer to hide behind anonymity which allows us to freely express our uncensored thoughts/opinions, but rather because it’s out of courteous consideration for you and your project and, quite frankly, doing so is pretty classless – an action we all here at UC for damn sure would call out one of our own for participating in, as we have done in the past.
Furthermore, I advocate for the protection of one’s right to privacy, regardless of who they are or whether or not they’re one of our community because no one deserves to have their personal information spread and shared with so little regard to the dangerous consequences that it can lead to. That's also another, more substantiated rational as to why it's strongly advised against someone pledging to your project only to hate on it in the comments section and why many just simply don't and haven't. But trust me, this is a very real threat to safety and security – one that we here at UC and myself personally have had to deal with in the past – as it has very wide-scale and real-life consequential repercussions that can be irrevocable damaging.
If you think protecting anonymity is only about being able to say whatever we want without fear/risk of being exposed and called out by you and/or publicly ridiculed/shamed by others for our words, then you’re really not seeing the bigger picture nor understanding the grave seriousness of such circumstances and what it could result in when it jeopardizes one’s personal safety in the form of threats, harassment, stalking, cyber security attacks and much, much more. It’s a much greater and more serious offense than you’re misconstruing the point I made in regard to the issue and are brushing it off as in your latest update by making it seem that my concerns are only to serve the purpose of deflecting blame or manipulating public opinion of the situation which seriously could not be further from the truth and my sincere intentions in bringing awareness to the issue - I'm deeply offended that you would even suggest such absolute bs. Plus, as I mentioned (only in an effort to caution you btw), it could very well backfire and cause you to also face legal ramifications if that person decided to seek actions against you for maliciously exploitation of their info/identity online.
As for here at UC, doxxing is most certainly something we absolutely, 100% DO NOT tolerate -
ever - nor soliciting such info from other members and it’s probably the fastest way for you to get the boot. Just something perhaps worth considering as you're seriously under scrutiny as to whether or not we will continue to allow you to maintain your account here with us at all. Choose your next words wisely and take your next actions with that in mind because, right now, my own patience is running thin as is a lot of the other mods' and we will not tolerate you wreaking havoc around here and elsewhere. You're toeing a very fine line, my friend, and I'm not gunna wanna continue to play nice as miss-diplomatic-mod with you if you can't extend the same civility, courtesy or respect to everyone else around here.
