Thank you guys! I am amazed with the support on this campaign - I wasn't expecting this funding on day 1!
I pratically put all the stock I have on Kickstarter and I'm already regretting to have put in production just 2000 Bestiary...

This literally made me laugh out loud:
ABSURD DUCAT (Chaos Coin)

"One side features the Chaos Avatar, the other the Goddess of Balance. When you can't choose between order and chaos, flip this coin. And, as always, ignore the result."

Not only is that amusing, Gio does produce some amazing coins. I just missed on a chance to add another 10 or so to my collection of 5 by just a day. Someday I would love to see him do enamel coins as I think with his colour sense he would do some cool things.

Trust me I am already curious of the rainbow metal finish this Chaos coin would have. And I hope to get it after funding

Enamel coins be a good potential! Do a colorful ones

All I looked at was the rewards, I didn't realize there's actually more than one Bestiary deck

Only the foils on the tuck are different, not the cards themselves. So up to you how you want to look at it. Only the hardcore TWI completionists are probably going to go for all 8. Then again, this campaign had more support than Gio expected, so maybe more people opted for multiple decks.

I anticipate we'll see an influx of them on the secondary market once people decide which variations are their preferred and sell the rest. Tends to happen with TWI decks on Reddit.

Hello UC!

I’m incredibly happy and overwhelmed by the amazing support for Chaos – for the first time ever, the Kickstarter is completely sold out! I won’t be releasing this project for retail at all, not even for KS late pledges.

As usual, some pledges may fail, which will give me a few extra decks. I’m not confident about selling everything, and I’d like to keep some Chaos decks for myself.
If there are any leftovers after the campaign, I’ll consider giving current backers a second chance, but I’ll likely include them in future Monsterboxes.

For those curious, over 120 backers opted for the "full collection," but I believe that number could have been higher with more reward options. I’m also aware of a few backers who chose the full collection (eg. Nonagon or Paradox Box) and added a brick of Bestiary on top (2 collections). This option was only available during the first two days of the project.

Not everyone is going to sell, but I assume that some are - I anticipate the secondary market might be active for this release.

A huge THANK YOU again to everyone believed in this project - I am really happy and will do my best to deliver it smoothly and quickly (hopefully Bestiary will be completed in mid oct)

Really glad to see this one went well.

Its an interesting problem to have, and one that probably cant be (and likely should be attempted) to be replicated as a "Bunch of tuck variants usually available randomly".

But I certainly welcome you trying to find other strategies to sell thousands of decks in a single go for good prices without silly physical addons or box exclusives (i.e. dont be ARK).

I hate that people yes are likely buying these expecting to resell them at a markup, didnt like it for game consoles, don't like it for decks.

Its going to be curious if a few variants become much more popular than others or if its the sets people want.

In slight defense of ARK, at least now, there’s an option to get the single deck to get a taste of the experience, but again… I still not agreeing with the forcing of box sets and such - but what to do? That is already in their comfort zone.

We can always doing trade in case of Chaos Bestiary - you don’t like what you got and others have what you like, then set up a deal to trade!

My issue is producers who put the gilded/foiled/the deck you want in with a $60 box set with something really plain.

especially if just those two decks (minus gilding usually) was $40 without the box.

I gave ARK a lot of money for the Egypt set and I dont regret it(especially since they wiped the mud off the artwork this time), but they have definitely had some FOMO built into their campaigns.

Ha! Ankh Playing Cards was the only time I decided to get their Wooden Box that I solely keep avoiding to save my sanity and wallet on almost all their projects. The reason I get it cuz for the theme. I do love Egypt. And hopefully this be the last I get the Wooden Box

And yeah, remember those times when ARK simply show screenshots of eBay listings of their old projects fetched up to crazy markup? That’s their play to incite FOMO

May I present you with the compilation of all the Bestiaries along with the single Pandemonium
IMG_4996.jpeg

Also, I’ve been thinking - there are 8 Bestiaries… and 1 Pandemonium… knowing Chaos symbol is an eight-pointed arrow, and having it layout on top of this… AHA!
IMG_4997.jpeg
Gio confirms the number of possible Bestiary is just a coincidence XD it’d be awesome if he planned it to be 8 because of the symbol haha

I picked up one of the Paradox Boxes and a set of the signed uncut tucks. I think the uncut tucks interest me more. It would have been nice if there were some random changes in the courts and maybe even number cards just to add some fun randomness to the set. Anyway, it looks like fun and they do look nice as well.

I didn't realize there were uncut tucks. That might've been something I would've gotten.

Now that I see the picture of the gold and black foil, I'm really hoping I don't get that one. It looks like "C A S" at first glance.

I missed out on the Kickstarter. Will there be a basic deck sold on their website?

not to any degree
After counting the final quantities, I confirm I am really impressed about how well Chaos (and Devotion Holy) sold, as anticipated, this project won't be pratically released for retail. Almost all decks are gone.

@Swiski66 - Chaos is very low stock, but (assuming all will go well with fulfillment) not 100% sold out.
A proper retail release won't happen, but I'll probably release the leftovers somehow.
I'll decide when I have all the numbers from GW, post-fulfillment. If you want subscribe my newsletter since I'll likely send a communication when I'll be ready! > https://thirdway.us3.list-manage.com/su ... 9b3c3591a2

Thank you!

As I picked up the uncut tucks, I realized from this discussion that I would be two short. I checked with Gio and evidently, the two new tucks were produced by the card manufacturer rather than B&N. Unfortunately the card manufacturer does not print uncut tucks, so no uncut tucks for those. Ah well. I still love the set though.

I got my package in today! They’re beautiful. I was a little short on cash during the campaign, so I only ended up with 3 variants + Pandemonium. Would possibly be in the market for Forest, Emerged Lands, Ancient, Depths, and/or Ice if anyone has extras…

Just received my Chaos deck, Watermelon edition.

17€ shipped for a deck that's foiled on both sides and a B&N tuck is great! Overall, it met my expectations, so I'm happy with my one deck.
