Has there been any word on when it's *actually* shipping?

:D

Just the last email, which had some words of "a short delay" in it.
Lotrek via email wrote:As we are approaching THE DAY, I have to let you know that this day won't be the 15th of April... Coronavirus seems to be universe's response to the existing danger of a Lotrek deck delivered in time!

The Greek government imposed a general shutdown very early -which is great for the public health- but for the production it has been horrible. Most of my suppliers and printers are operating 2 - 3 days a week with half their staff so things are moving

s l o o o o w l y. . .

I don't mean to scare you, the delay won't be huge, my prediction based on the so far progress is about a week to 10 days.

What may be a problem though, is that due to the covid19 situation the Hellenic Post does not accept parcels for all countries.

Currently they ship to some European countries only. I hope that this will change by the day that the deck will be completed and ready for shipping. Fingers crossed and I'll keep you posted.

What would be crazy is if we each got different decks so that even if we were to share it, we would all just think that other people were trolling.

I am so excited to see this deck! I've loved all his projects. I'm also a little nervous! Is it possible that I've been psyching my self out?

Well, from the image, Lotrek gave us, we know for sure that it's white bordered! :ugdance:

I also love this statement from Lotrek:
That's all for now, I'm very happy that this time I don't need to apologize for the delay although some people believe that I created Covid 19 in order to remain faithful to the long tradition of delayed Lotrek decks!
He just cannot catch a break from Chronos. What did you do, Lotrek, to offend Chronos that you are cursed with delays?

+1 for more of a goldish cocaine-/off-white/eggshell colour. What do you guys think did he spare that tiny part on purpose so that folks start to dabate about it? Is that even really a crypt card? Questions above questions... :ugthink:

Obviously no pictures- but what were the impressions of the first two mystery decks? Were people universally pleased?

I think there are differing opinions. The two mystery decks were Arabesque and Damask. I am not sure there is universal agreement on the decks. I would say that most probably though Arabesque was the "better" of the two, mainly because of it's beautiful custom courts. I like both for different reasons. I like Damask for it's magnificent over the top use of mutiples of hot foil across the entire surface and insane registration. Arabesque was a gorgeous deck with amazing art and custom courts. While the registration was amazing in both decks, I found Damask with slightly better registration and none of the foil flaking that happened on the Arabesque decks.

I know we are weeks away from getting this deck but I am really looking forward to them! The first person to get them and post that they have them but not give anything away will ramp up the anticipation!

I'm already starting to cultivate hatred for the first person to post pictures.

The pitchfork I ordered should be arriving around the same time.

I think that Arabesque is great. Damask is largely disappointing - relies too heavily on finish (foils) rather than finesse (art).

Well... i'm obviously very late for the party but i got an idea that might work for a pic of this one: Trade deal!
Or will it go like: "Hey there, i have the CRYPT for trade, just send me your decks with pics and tracked shipping, but no pic from me sir! You get whatever i sent you!".
P/s: If anyone here goes through a deal like that, please absolutely share!

I think there will be an authorized list of Crypt owners (if purchaser wishes to be on the list) that will allow those purchasing second hand if the deck is authentic. Or, I guess you could email Lotrek to verify authenticity. I guess I had best keep those Greek Stamps this time to verify authenticity. Of course, my decks are not going to be on the resale market...although no 50 decks for me, or even a brick this time.

5/13/2020 EMAIL :ugdance: :ugdance: :ugdance:

- Shipping Soon -

Dear fearless explorers of the mysterious CRYPT,

Printing is finally completed!

Perhaps the most demanding deck we've ever produced. The technical difficulties were huge and the production cost insane.

We had only one shot to make it. And we did it.

The reactions of the people who worked on the deck when seeing the finished sheets make me proud of what we accomplished and I feel really blessed to have such amazing supporters.

It's absolutely true that without your unconditional support, we wouldn't have been able to make this deck.

We hope you'll find the result worth the cost and the wait.

Some more good news is that the Hellenic post is now accepting parcels for USA and most of the countries. The list is constantly updated and I don't think that we have any orders to destinations that are not currently listed so all Greek stamp fans will have their treat...

Okay, now to the not-so-glorious part: Due to the complexity of the cards production, my ambition to create something extraordinary and my built-in laziness, I underestimated the time that I needed to finalize the tuck case design: The cards are ready but the tucks will be delivered to me on Wednesday (guilty face here).

So, just a bit more patience until you get the magic tracking number.

Until then, have a look at the amazing back:

Meanwhile in the bowels of the Australian custom office. A picture of their hero Peter Dutton looking on...

Hey Mearle, I found another awesome deck of cards from Greece. Look at the fantastic stamps. Hey, let's take a look at those cards. Sweeet. Let's post a photo of the cards and share how awesome they are....aaaaahhhh!

Thus ends the reign of the customs officers messing with Lotrek decks. :ugdance:

It was difficult work, but I was able to get at least some kind of image after tweaking the levels in Photoshop. Truly a masterpiece, Lotrek!
