Ditto.

You know, Pierre and I live relatively nearby, and yet, he still manages to get his decks before I get mine. Sheesh.

I got my pair in my hands this morning. Not that I’m telling anyone anything they didn’t already know, but the cards are absolutely phenomenal! Everything from the tuck to the artwork to the finish...simply stunning. Incredible decks!

Does the deck handle beautifully?
Is the artwork amazing?

Would anyone be willing to part with one set of the Faro/Cartomancer? I didn't have the ability at the time to get more than one set during backerkit.

And, I'd like to have a deck of each extra so I can enjoy them.

You can still get the decks from Stockholm17's website.

I am certainly not complaining and do not want a refund. I just find it peculiar since the black one was wrapped perfectly.

Just ribbing you Vasta. Loose cellophane on a deck your going to open doesn’t seem like a big deal. However, I do recall myself getting a bit upset about something similar with Gio on a limited deck, so I guess I had better shut up while I am behind.

I can sell a pair to you for maybe a little cheaper than from the Stockholm17 website. Can you PM me your address so I can get shipping costs?

Hi guys!

glad you are enjoying the decks :)

I can explain why the cello-wrap on Faro is different.

As you know Lotrek made the tuckboxes for both Cartomancer and Faro.
Then he shipped Cartomancer tuckboxes to Cartamundi, and Faro tuckboxes to GamblersWarehouse.
Cartomancer cards by Cartamundi.
Faro cards made by USPCC have been shipped to Gamblers Warehouse.
Cartamundi assembled Cartomancer cards+Cartomancer tuckboxes and their cello-wrap is nice and tight.
Gamblers Warehouse assembled Faro cards + Faro tuckboxes and the outcome is different. Even the material is slightly different.

mystery solved :)

I have to say that I am severely disappointed in USPCC's print registration and Cartamundi's finish on these decks. The artwork and tuck boxes are as good as Lorenzo's and Lotrek's reputations. IMO USPCC and Cartamundi really f^&*ed these up.

Interesting. I am by no means an expert and have only examined one deck of each type, but the registration of the Faro deck seemed fine and the way the numbered decks were made, it is hard to eve tell on registration. The Cardomancer deck’s finish on mine seems good. I will be interested in others thoughts.

Edit: In looking at the reverse of my opened Faro deck, I do see a slight registration issue. However, given its whole retro vibe, I don’t see it as particularly distracting to me.

The finish on Cartomancer makes the cards look like cracked plastic. It's awful. And on my open Faro deck, there's like 2 MM of space from the corner to one pip, and like 6 MM of space in the opposite.

The artwork is so good, though.

Cartomancer probably should've been done with EPCC's perfecta foil... Comparing these decks to Gemini decks really shows how great EPCC has become.

If you want some extra decks, many are selling out fast at Lorenzo's website store. There are only 2 more mixed bricks for sale. I can tell you that brick box is sweet and a nice bonus for getting a brick. There are 50 each of the Faro and Cartomancer individual decks and only 11 pairs of decks available (but I think they are the same or about the same price as each separately, so yeah. There are only 4 Gemini Experimental, which are at a great price. If you don't have one, I expect they are going to get really hard to find after this, so this may be the last time to get one at this price. They sold out really fast on Kickstarter, so I am amazed these have been out there so long. Also, 3 Gemini Pullox bundles remain - same, not many of these were made (says 100 were produced), so you get the idea. Rare. Raven bundle with the rare mini decks - 1 left.

In watching ebay, I was surprised to see a Gatekeeper deck sell for $175, but a Gatekeeper Bundle sit for $230. I mean for $55 more you get two faro decks, two cartomancer decks and a custom carat case. Ah, value there. I guess you can make more money breaking a bundle apart and selling it separately. It boggles my mind.

I just received my uncuts. I have not collected uncuts and these came on the same day as my uncut tucks for Luna Moon and Helius Sun. I must say that I do not regret getting the uncuts and wish I had spent the fraction of cost more for Room 17 to get two sets of uncuts. Sigh. Oh well.

I hope you get your decks soon portcullis. Let us know what you think when you get them.

Generally speaking here it's 24-36 hours to clear customs and a minimum 3 days to get from Sydney to Melbourne [but let's not get dragged into AP's increasingly lax delivery standards]. I've already had one friend receive there's [not here but in 2018 52+ town and yes they're being my con-ninja] and according to them the 2+2+1 pledge is well worth the AU$250

The backs of my Cartamundi deck are chipping...

If I ignore the poor registration on the Faro deck, it is truly beautiful. It's a complaint that I can get over when playing games with the deck.

It's looking like I won't be opening another Cartomancer deck after this one. I am so disappointed in their production for this.

Wow that's pretty unfortunate. I planned on picking up a set and while I don't play any games with my decks I do like to fan them out to enjoy the artwork. Here's hoping they decks can at least hold up to that.
