Thanks for the post. That was from our friendly Jacks and Jokers member (who must have very fast fingers). Speaking of fast fingers, that deck was already sold before I could find it. If someone here got it, please boast.

And THE BIG news in Lorenzo's Project Update #30, the rewards should start shipping from Gambler's Warehouse starting on Monday.

I happened to get an envelope from Lorenzo with a few attic tier items. One of them was a signed Jack of Spades from the Cartomancer deck. Just to whip us up a bit more. It is stunning. It doesn't need foil. I am really wanting to take a vacation day and just drive up to Gambler's Warehouse and get my stuff right now...dang.

Excuse me while I pine away and drool over my one card.

The rewards are arriving. I just received my huge box of decks and will post some photos when I get home. It is all outstanding. The decks are ... good. Yeah, freaking good. They handle nice the tucks are Lotreks best work to date. The brick boxes, good. Custom carat boxes, good. Gatekeepers, outstanding. Card guards, yep. Wow.

Hope you all get yours in the next few days.

I originally pledged for one gatekeeper plus a few spare decks but having now seen the mouthwatering videos and Brad's images below, have now snatched one of the six gatekeepers that went on sale on S17's site last night. And here I thought I would take a break in spending after the crushing Lotrek/Alex Chin double punch...

Jesus f^&*ing Christ, Brad.

Congrats on the #1.

How snug does the Gatekeeper bundle fit inside the 6-deck carat case? Any pics of that?

The gatekeeper bundle fits nicely in the carat case. A half brick is a bit tight in the carat case. Thanks for the idea of putting a half brick of decks in the case. That also makes a great set.

Gotta ask... Why the hell do you want/need 58 decks..?

I get owning a personal brick or two, but AFAIK, Brad isn't really a re-seller. That's re-seller quantity. With the amount of great custom decks, too, I can't see him playing exclusively enough with HOTRS decks enough to need that many backups...

Your face is a stupid question.

Yeah, I am not a reseller. I am insane collector. That much is obvious. Okay, here is the story.

Well, it is kind of a long story. I didn't intend to get so many decks initially.

First and foremost my initial pledge was for an Attic tier. Most of the Early Bird stuff went in the opening fraction of a second. Besides, I didn't go for the top tier in Gemini (my first Kickstarter for playing cards), and decided I was going all in for Lorenzo's next series. That done, I used another account to pick up a gatekeeper bundle also right away so I would have two gatekeeper bundles. I really liked them. I also added a pair of decks so I would have a pair to use and not mess up my sets. So, that put me in for two bricks and 10 decks in the Gatekeeper bundle and two extras. I also later added two extra carat cases to break up one of my bricks into the carat cases to better show them off. Then I think on the last day or day before the last I woke up and realized that there was not much difference between the Gatekeeper Bundle cost and the Cellar tier (I think it came up to like $10 per deck) and I got another free deck guard. So, I ended up with 3 bricks (with brick boxes), two extra decks and two Gatekeeper bundles, which came to (12 X 3)+2+(5 X 2) = 36+2+10 = 48 decks. One of the brick boxes shown was empty as I put the decks in the two extra carat cases. I thought $30 or whatever it was for the custom etched carat cases was a deal. I also changed one of the mixed bricks for a solid brick of Cartomancer decks. Kindly, Lorenzo took all this in stride and I think was glad few others were making crazy orders like this.

I really didn't set out to have so many decks, but feel like it was fairly good value going with the bundle offers.

I can't speak for bradius' personal reasons, but I know that when there's a deck or series that I absolutely love, I can't get enough of my favorite decks and, if I had the financial means to get as many as I truly wanted, I'd probably do so regardless of whether or not I actually planned to play with them or whatever else I could ever want/need that many for. Basically, just because I could :D and they do look mighty nice displayed in those carat cases

Also, sometimes it's nice having the security of knowing you've got a bunch (most particularly of popular and/or desirable decks like these ones) and, if you wanted to, could use to trade for other decks you'd want or share with friends who missed out, either now or sometime later in the future - who knows, but I know I sure hate feeling regretful for not getting more of a deck I love after missing the opportunity to do so and a quantity like this most definitely ensures that he won't ;) Actually, I've already been thinking that perhaps I should pick up another pair myself while I still can lol

WOW! When broken down like that, those bundles really were an amazing deal! I didn't realize since there was no way I could've afford to pledge for those tiers at the time, but I totally understand your logic and I probably woulda also done the same if I were in your shoes and with all things considered. These are really, really nice decks, and there's very few series that I personally could justify going all out for, but, like a lot of Lorenzo's campaigns, this is most certainly one of them - congrats again! Enjoy the heck outta those decks lol

and yes, you are an insane collector :ugthink: but in the best possible way ;) lol

48 decks - wow! And I thought I was aggressive in my habit of collecting 3 of each deck... Brad - good for you, really glad that you got your decks, by all accounts they are absolutely amazing! Also, well done with getting the No. 1 gatekeeper...

HELLO!
I did not expect some backers getting the package before me getting the tracking number from the fulfillment center. LOL

Thank you Brad for posting the whole set, that is quite a sight. You have more brick boxes than me here in stockholm ahah
I really can't wait to get all the packages marked as delivered and move on with the next one a bit more focused.
Back-office/customer service job is time consuming. This time Backerkit helped a lot. Money spent wisely, very happy with that platform.

BTW, my new webshop is open in case you missed it. :)
cheers
Lorenzo

Thanks Lorenzo. Any idea as to when those of us who are not as lucky as Brad should expect tracking numbers?

PS: your new website is indeed up and running - I have ordered a second Gatekeeper off your (very) limited sale a couple of days ago.

On backerkit I can see 32 parcels have to be shipped.
The rest are ready/shipped

INT.Backers will get the notification but the tracking number will work in a few days. :)

I went to your website and took a look around. there are some super nice decks there. I am very new to this hobby but I have seen almost all of those. I definitely want the Gemini decks.

after seeing The House of the Rising Spades I had to order. I ordered the set from your website and I am excited to get them. assuming your kickstart campaign was months ago, I had no idea this hobby or these kinds of decks existed. I am happy you had some available.

Lorenzo is one of the Top 5 best designers in the business. Requiem, Heretic, No. 17, and Gemini are all among the best decks you could ever buy. Ravn is one of the best "standard" type decks for magic and poker. House of the Rising Spade will be among my Top 10 favorite decks once I get a good look of them in my hands.

IIRC the Kickstarter campaign launched in March for these decks. Smart idea to pick them up from his site since they'll probably cost a small fortunate on the aftermarket soon.

I'd really love to see a United Cardists and 52+ Joker Club deck designed by Lorenzo, but I understand his want for creative control and lack of deadlines.

I would like to get that Gemini deal he has on there but I just can't justify that yet. I am happy I found them there as well. All of the decks were really nice. Added them to my portfolio wish list so they don't slip my mind in the future.
