Ok. When I have more ideas about this borderless back design, I'll show it. I cannot promise anything. Now I'll back to work on courts.

The non-mosaic version will be used for a back with borders (100%). To clarify - mosaic was ok for the borderless back with green as the primary color. But it does not work when I add more colors. That's why you like this updated version more than the original one.

Good news: EU friendly fulfillment from Germany confirmed!

But I agree - it's quite cool to ignore. What I know for sure - this design will look exceptional even without foil (more colorful).

That's great news, thanks! Just curious, is it via 52 Wonders?

I like the changes you have made to the center of the back design. I don't think I said that earlier. Thanks for sharing some of your artistic designs as you go through creating the deck. It is interesting, but also a bit frustrating (I would like design 1078567b with a lemon twist and olive on ice please).

It's fun as nobody knows what to expect  But I have at least three projects in plans which will never be shared before KS (even names of the decks). So it depends.

But sometimes it's interesting to compare the first sketches with the final result.

Ok

This time I'll send three prototype decks (maybe unplayable, without a box and with some experimental cards) to some UC users with Instagram accounts!

How to participate? It's easy - do nothing, don't ask, post quality content on Instagram.

If you have not started your Instagram yet, it's too late already as it's hard to beat quality IG accounts
No questions will be asked as I know your postal addresses - prototypes will be sent to backers of my campaigns.

Prototypes will be sent to:

1. @Romeril https://www.instagram.com/bayou.playing.cards/
2. @Decknowledgy https://www.instagram.com/decknowledgy/

3rd place: I'll use a randomizer :D

3a: @timmargh https://www.instagram.com/timmargh
3b: @Räpylätassu https://www.instagram.com/rapylatassu/
3c: @PrincessTrouble https://www.instagram.com/princesstroublegram/
3d: more...

I know that some of my backers are very creative, but I am not sure if they have an account here on UC. DM me via Instagram to be included (my KS backers only). You have 5-6-7 days.

p.s. all three prototypes will be different - with borders, borderless, 3rd?? :D

This just keeps getting better and better. Thanks so much for posting the borderless. It was eye-popping and mesmerizing.

As for the names, here's a few more suggestions : Verdant, Lush, Bouquet, Emerald, Mosaic.
Something less colour and floral related which matches the court designs: Ribbons, Sashes, Furls, Curls, Flourish , banners, Ripples ,

or you could always stick to Waves 2!

Name idea: Iris

It's flowery but the deck also reminds me of a camera aperture iris for some reason (especially the borderless). So multiple meanings in the name.

Other ideas:

Fleur - French for flower, chic sounding

Lotus - An exotic and mystical flower but also signifies enlightenment and divine purity in Buddhism and represents rebirth to the Egyptians

More names ideas: UC No.7, No.7, Royal Green.

I am also working on a classic back design. Why? I have a plan. :geek: I hope you understand it's a sketch

+1

But I don't know what to do with colors :D Original colors are too bright. I'll need a prototype.

Happy with a tone-down, since I agree that the original colors are too bright for a standard design. Either monotone or maximum just two colors on the faces?

I showed the back design to Granny and she approves

I'll just close my eyes and go along with whatever you decide.

Edit: The design feature mirrored on the top and bottom look like a helmet and shoulder plate to me. Now that I see it, I can't stop seeing it. And, now I see the flower upside down and it looks like a feather duster. I'm back onboard. That took a few seconds. Edit again: The design has changed, so those wonderful images are now gone. :(

I personally like bright colors on cards. The full bleed back renders look great, that would be some beautiful fans!

It is nice, but i think the earlier design in borderless looked better. Keep in mind that a deck for fanning and fourishing really pops when borderless. Well, IMHO.

Absolutely! That colorful back design will be produced for sure! This back is not going to replace old backs. I am talking about a Limited edition only. Or maybe about a First Day edition (very limited).

I am trying to make something limited without breaking a bank.

There are two options at the moment:

1. This classic back (borders) + foil + modified courts
2. This classic back (borderless) + foil + borderless courts

I am open to other ideas. I may also skip this idea and use this back later.

Considering this Is UnitedCardists, IMHO, we should honor the forum's cardistry roots by going with a borderless design for at least 1 of the backs. Either one is great, but from the pics, the borderless classic looks better.

I'm happy either for bordered or borderless, but got to admit that borderless is absolutely another level... Aside from that, the design of this one is great, the line works do fit the classic deck vibe. Please keep this... pretty PLEEEEEASSE~~~

I haven't been here for a while. Looks like I missed a lot of the legwork, but holy **** I'm looking forward to this. This jade/teal backer is looking so nice now.
