Perhaps this is a good thing. In the end our collections will be more streamlined and polished.
I know it's better for storage and display. I really don't want to be pushed out of my own living space by my collection.

But do you find yourself buying decks (from resellers, eBay. theory 11...) that originally started at KickStarter?

It starts pretty bad every single time. We're all "gimme gimme gimme" in the beginning, buying decks left and right and anything that we come across. Before you know it, you're up to your neck in decks you don't care that much for. And you start to focus and trim the fat off your collection. You start to stop and think "do I really want this?".
So basically no, I haven't had the sorrow of having to cancel a pledge I really wanted for lack of funds. But I've certainly cancelled several pledges I figured I didn't really want.
A New Philosophy..........

The Venexiana deck has had a profound impact in my philosophy of card collecting, and that's even before I actually held them in my hands.
Quantity over Quality.
I regret not getting the "Grotesque Signature Edition" despite having the ability to get at least one. I onwon't let it happen again. June was a big month for me in regards to purchasing of cards; Madison's, Medallions, Red & Blue Masters, and etc (I'll post some pictures later on "Hey, look what I got this month" but right now I'm banged up in hospital) ......... The funds for these should have went to at least one deck of the "Grotesque Signature Edition".
Gotta get out of the Pokamon generation where I gotta get them all. Despite getting a Venexiana deck and being able to have the funds for the "Grotesque Signature Edition" doesn't mean I have money to throw around whatever I want and that I'm rich. I'm far from it, not gonna get into any details or "my family was so poor we used to live in a shoe box ..."* Just have to be sensible and like I wrote earlier, start to properly budget for what I want; in another thread I wrote making a choice between 16 Madison's or one Venexiana deck.
In time I'll get those Madison's, Medallions, and Monarchs - I'll just have to be a bit more patient and enjoy that 1 Gold Venexiana deck.
I just realized this post could be better served in the "A Sad time ..." thread started by SBurk49. Sorry dude.
