This is my only complaint as well, the foil seems pretty dark but I assumed it was intentional?Bradius wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 1:05 pm For some reason the color printing over the foil doesn't impress me as much as what I have seen from Montenzi using Cartamundi. I mean with both I can see the printing dots, but it seems more obvious to me on this deck compared to say the UC #7 deck. It also seems darker or duller. One problem I see is say in "221B" on the backs. There is shading on the numbers that makes it look more like a printing error. It definitely makes the image blurry to me. It just doesn't have the desired effect IMHO.

How would compare the Legal Tender ink over foil printing to the decks you mention above, as it is the same process.Bradius wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 1:05 pm It is slightly thinner than say Robin Hood, and just a hair thicker than my Sovereign deck that was printed at USPCC. Handling is just not there compared with the Sovereign deck TBH. It doesn't fan as well. It is stiffer and has less spring. It just doesn't have it for handling yet. That said, I like this deck for other reasons. However, if it was a deck for cardistry? Hard pass. Luckily for you, I am no cardist.

I just think you need to figure out what works best with this type of printing as it is going to be different on your computer than in final production. I get the challenges in using new processes.

LOL, you were totally right! I had forgotten we had tried the new stock with this deck. Good, news we HAVE switched over to this new stock for our next decks. Our next ones won't have it as they are already almost finished, but all new ones will!Romeril wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:13 amJackson!! This is exactly what I was talking about in the chat on Deckin Around on Thursday, but you laughed at me and said it was the same stock!JacksonRobinson wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:35 am Hey peeps! Let me know what you think about the thickness and handling of the sherlocks we tried a new thinner Cardistry stock for these, to try and make progress forward and get an overall thinner more better handling deck.![]()
It is noticeably thinner, feels better in the hand, handles better and I can also fit the deck in a sleeve. The other recent KWP EPCC decks don’t even come close to getting in a sleeve.
Please switch to this stock from EPCC![]()
Here’s a few pics comparing it to Robin Hood:

Have you tried the new DS1Ls? They are slightly larger and the thicker EPCC decks fit in them quite nicely

A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

Note: I love the deck, The stock feels fantastic. Im not a fan of the dark foiling. It does add to the Victorian feel, and for the it gets a star, but dark printing on dark foil, even looking at the decks in person makes it hard to fully appreciate the detail that was put into this deck.

Will there be a 2021 certificate and stickers this year? I forgot about it, I have all of 2020 subscription stickers filled.

I am getting 2021 stickers, so I would think so, but I didn't bother with a 2021 sheet myself. I have a bad history with those stickers and sheets.

Same here. I have a hard time keeping track of those stickers. KWP knows who has been a subscriber for the entire year, why don't they just send the 13th deck to those subscribers? Seems similar to businesses that offer rebates but you have to fill out a form and send it in to get your rebate. They rely on people not doing it.

I just stick all of mine in a plastic bag. Honestly I like the system.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.
