I looked for the green launch now button everywhere. Usually it was in a page that appears after you push Review project.
Not this time.
Also, I did not see any ks mail about changes related to this project, or new terms of service. I might have missed it. I don't know.
Once I get approval I will reschedule the launch.

Sorry for this mess, it was totally unexpected :(

I just found this text:

"Does Kickstarter review projects before launch?
Yes we do. Our Launch Now feature uses an algorithm incorporating thousands of data points to check whether a project is ready to launch — things like the project’s description, rewards, funding goal, and whether the creator has previously launched a project.

If the project qualifies for Launch Now, the creator can go live whenever they’re ready.

If a project doesn’t qualify for Launch Now, the creator will need to share the project with us for review before it can launch. We will make sure the project is in line with our rules, and verify that it’s a project with a specific, finite goal — we do not investigate a creator’s ability to complete their project. We may also offer the creator helpful feedback on ways to structure or present their project. This process usually takes up to three business days."

So, for some reason i was not qualified.
Hey Lorenzo - I just tried putting a draft campaign through the whole process and I am able to see the "green launch" button. This does baffles me as I'm not sure why you didn't get it. I do think there has not been any policy or new terms of service update from Kickstarter recently. It makes me hypothesize that there could be something in the description which is not being liked by Kickstarter's algorithm that Bruno also mentioned above.

This whole ordeal is stupid. I was playing a video game online when my alarm went off for me to back this project. I refreshed probably 15 times in a few minutes before I came here and saw the news.

Terrible inconvenience for everyone.

Humans kill the monsters, seemingly forever, but they'll be back for Pacific Rim 3.

I didn't see the sequel, but I suspect that's the depth of the "story". It's a good robot-smash franchise but offers nothing to the thinking man/woman.

TBH I probably would've cut a date short (or rescheduled) for these decks, if I dated on Sundays. The EB and collectors tiers are always gone in 5-10 minutes on exceptional campaigns.

NEW LAUNCH DATE!
After the mess on Sunday, finally kickstarter approved the campaign. I am launching on Wednesday 28 at 11pm Stockholm time, which is officially UTC+2.

Check the time in your city here:
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... 166&p8=240

LOS ANGELES 2PM, DALLAS 4PM, NEW YORK 5PM, LONDON 10PM, ROME 11PM, MOSCOW 0AM(THU 30), SYDNEY 8AM(THU 30).

It is impossible to make everybody happy on spherical world and its timezones, this is the best I can do. It covers the whole America and Europe at decent times. Australia and Japan are a bit penalized and have to pledge with a strong coffee while Europe is pledging with a beer.... Kind-of :)

Thank you for being patient and sorry for the totally unexpected issue with Kickstarter. I hope to see you onboard :)

Just be sure to realize that what is posted here is UTC on Event Calendar and NOT converted to your time zone. If you view the actual calendar in Google by adding the calendar to your own it will of course adjust to your timezone.

Lorenzo's graphic should make that clear if this just adds to the confusion.

What a start! I got on right after it opened and still missed most of the EB options. Currently over $18,000 in funding by just 195 backer, with an AVERAGE of $96 per backer.

I really enjoy the way Lorenzo presents and runs his campaigns. This looks excellent.

I think there may be a wee cue in the campaign blurb about the “extra thing” that comes with the gatekeeper deck...

From the Kickstarter Update:

Details about the Gatekeeper:

Cards: Cartomancer, wrapped in cellophane
Extra Card with number and signature. You see the number through the gate. Extra card not ready yet.
Miniature in resin of the gate
Signature on the bottom of the box as well.
Tuckbox in dark gray, with debossing and light gray ink (or white ink, or silver ink, to be decided) printed by Oath Playing Cards.
Assembled in Stockholm

I am Backer #15!

I'm interested in the Gatekeeper bundle from Update #1. Sounds like it'll have a custom Carat Card Case, like something kinda like Gemini did?

These decks are going to be more easy favorites in my collection.

I freakin' love Lorenzo.

:ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar:

Edit: I'd also like to say... A 4-deck set for $66. One of the best playing card artists around, launches a campaign with foiled and gorgeous decks, at < $17/each (for that tier). That's how it's done, ladies/gentlemen. Take notes!

Right now a mixed brick is about $149 and a Room 17 tier is $305, so about an additional $150, which is mainly the Gatekeeper bundle (but also the uncut sheets ($55) and coin (?)). The bundle includes 2 of each deck and the carat case to hold them. So, what will be the cost for the Gatekeeper deck alone? I can just guess based on these numbers and that 4 mixed decks as an add-on is about $65 and that the bundles should give you a bit of a price break for getting the larger bundle. Anyway, we will see. I think it was announced in the update that the number of Gatekeeper decks would be limited to around 200. As of now, there are 31 accounted for in the Room 17 and Attic tier backers at this point, which leaves around 170. Now that I look at it, those bundles probably do have some value, even if you are not wild about all of the items.

Good luck trying to get one of the Gatekeeper pledges. I got on right as the campaign opened and am backer 121. When I missed a quick jab at an EB, I spent a few minutes deciding on the tier I wanted.

Gatekeeper release date and details posted in update #3 on Kickstarter :)

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/re ... ts/2151765

Here a couple of pictures of the Gatekeeper bundle, carat case for 6 decks will house 5 decks because the gatekeeper is a little less thick than 2 decks combined.

I don't think that I need to pledge for the Gatekeeper deck, but I do think that I will increase my pledge to a half-brick if/when the carat case is an Add-On.

I was giving the uncut sheets for free, the difference is the shipping cost for the tube.
Tubes are expensive to ship even for US addresses and it is based on its size, not weight.

It all depends on how you look at it. I take Lorenzo's perspective that the bundles add a lot of free items to your standard fare. In the Attic tier, you get two bricks with cases (if SG is reached), which is 2,500 SEK. You also get the Gatekeeper Bundle, which is 1,340 SEK (if you get one of the 100 offered on their own). Just these two adds to 3,850 SEK, which is basically the cost of the tier. Everything else you get for 50 SEK.

For the Room 17 tier, a mixed brick is 1,250 SEK, plus 1,340 for the Gatekeeper bundle, which is 2,590 SEK. That is actually slightly less than the 2,550 price of the Room 17 bundle tier, plus you get the other stuff.

Now, if you were fortunate to get a EB mixed brick for only 999 SEK, that might change it "slightly". If you want the Gatekeeper and a brick or two, I think the package tier gives you real value, especially as it takes you out of the lottery for a gatekeeper deck or bundle. Also, I expect the number of people taking bundles to rise a bit more during the campaign, so I expect there will be more than 200 Gatekeeper decks in the end, unless Lorenzo cuts of the bundle tiers at a certain point (I think he did that in the Gemini campaign if memory serves me right as he was getting worried about producing so many custom mahogany cases). In this campaign, it looks like the short straw is the custom resin piece that goes in the Gatekeeper deck.

I can see where someone might prefer to just get a half-brick and get the custom case to make for a nice presentation piece for their decks without the gatekeeper deck. Just keep in mind it is likely to be cheap on its own, so after you do the math, a bundle might make sense.

Well, that is my 2 cents worth anyway.
