can't believe people have pledged on the 5k level, had a feeling this would go badly wrong.

Yeah when I saw someone pledge for it I knew it was FUBAR. IIRC can't mark it as sold out or remove it once someone has pledged for it.

He fell over dead when the rush was over. He'll be notifying everyone what number they are later, tomorrow I assume.

Can you believe we had three people actually pledge that fake $5000 tier? Solid gold deck, I guess. And - you can mark it sold out, but you can't remove it if someone is still pledged for it. I sure liked the way $43,000+!looked, but....

I think it would be great if the actual UC members have something exclusive like last time.

Missed on it too. It was midnight for us.

What was the exclusive last time?

That would be nice!

Powers That Be: Is there any way we could do something special for the membership outside the KS campaign after it's over?

I'm wondering about that, myself. All I could gather from the Bicycle UnitedCardists deck was that some people got a free Grid 2.0 or Mythos Necronomicon deck from 4PM Designs. Not sure if this is what McSpazzy is referring to, however. This could have been available to anyone who backed the Kickstarter.

Last year, before the UC deck was launched on KS, we had period where we could order the UC deck through BMP and had slightly lower rates.

I decided to pass on the signature edition decks. I figured if I couldn't get them both, might as well not get one.

I'd love to do something like that, but it just wouldn't be practical with the way it's being done this year. I didn't grab the reigns and lock Lotrek out of the funding process. I won't go into it, but Randy actually had to make a pledge last year just so he could comment. hmmm... The logistics just won't work well this time, the deck doesn't truly belong to UC like it did before, it's not going to reside in my house (or workplace) until it's all sold, either. I don't remember asking, but fairly certain that it's going to be fulfilled using the "Great Lakes" people that he used for Venexiana, which worked really well from all I have heard. They also are working in conjunction with "International Mail Service", which coordinates shipping the orders overseas as well.
Yashi wrote:I decided to pass on the signature edition decks. I figured if I couldn't get them both, might as well not get one.
Why's that, Yashi? It was made known at least two days before he made the first group available yesterday afternoon that you could order both if you wanted to, it is "60 backers" instead of 60 units. There will be another 20 slots opened sometime in the last few days.

(and Shermaine - Lotrek still has a few cards up his sleeve that I haven't let on about yet. I'll let him announce when he's ready instead of meddling - this time)

All UC members who have pledged for the Grotesque deck, will get a gift from me as a thank you for your contribution to what seems to be a big success. I'm working on it.

You are AMAZING!

Then we end up getting a card that says 'I supported UC and all I got was this lousy card'

Ah, but if Lotrek designs it it won't be a 'lousy' card.

I'm just proud to be a member of a forum that can pull off such an astounding deck. Kudos to Lotrek, Mike and all you others who have worked hard to get this project off to such a great start.

Well, check my signature (just changed in the last hour or two) and the "UC Featured Collector and Artist" thread in "Site Announcements and Information" forum for details.

I think I'm doing a pretty good job pulling all of these little things together - and when you look at it as a whole, I've done more in 2 months than UC did in years - proud to say!

Yashi mentioned wanting both but only having enough money for one.

Oh no : a spoiler... ;-)

This card could be only send to UC member who pledged (why not signed or/and with pseudo/real name on it)... It worth it...
And if not : it worth it too... How many KS decks include a thank you card to their backers/sponsors ?

My two euros cents
