Those look great, but would probably be nearly as bad (for my heart) if I ate them as is the stuff he usually leaves at my house. :(
Plenty of fiber, at least

Pretty much, it was https://www.tfaw.com/ which had good prices on them which is about right for the stock quality. They had a few others I considered, but just got the Emily, Domo and Baseman this time around from them.

Sure, I could turn them into powder with a belt sander and then mix them into drinks, like Miralax! :D

Got an opened deck of Red Monarchs in an order that I received today and as I was thumbing through the deck I thought that the left edge seemed a little rough and then I got to the 2 of Clubs (that top edge in the first picture is a little out of focus, but you can see a black dotted line and it is even partially cut too)... Weird...

I think misprints are pretty cool. Will you get a replacement?

I got misprint once. Got half a card. :)

Straight from Taiwan, via eBay. Only place I could find all three decks. Best part...no customs fees

I think I know which seller you're talking about (Lol I can't remember the username cuz it's a bunch of numbers). I bought from him before. He always has a nice stock of decks. :)

Yep, that's them. I have another box coming from them, and one from Hong Kong. It amazes me that almost all of these decks are made in the states, but most of them end up overseas. Although pokerstud52 and the gamblers warehouse stores both have a lot too.

Yeah, I see a lot of overseas resellers on eBay. I usually only buy from those located in Asia mostly because anything in pounds or euros ends up costing just a bit more, plus shipping that takes a bit longer. I'll only go to European resellers if it's some rare deck I'm desperate to get and it's only available from one particular seller (like Uusi's original blue bloods).

The Taiwan seller is the only one I've seen that has an original blueblood, but it's a little steep. And yeah, the dollar to euro exchange rate sucks! Shopping on the economy here just makes me cringe.

The Taiwan seller didn't have it when I was looking for it... The only one at the time was some seller in France, and there was that little banner that said, "last one" and I felt this sense of urgency so I just bought it. The price is consistently high, so I didn't feel as bad about it as some other decks I've purchased.

The Porcelain deck has some embossing on the front - the Bicycle logo and the koi fish.

Please try to avoid rolling your eyes all at once!

This was a Kickstarter project that I was surprised to see today. I got it mostly for my wife and step-daughter, but I actually really like the variety in this deck. The artwork is fun stuff and so cat punny!

Hmmm, will have to read other threads to see why inline linked images are no longer allowed. I guess that will prevent broken images in the future? Anyhow, will try this attachment method instead...

My wife and I bought one Krazy Kats deck for ourselves, and one for our cats...

We've all had a good laugh over them too.

O.K. The second deck is really for my wife's daughter, because she is owned by cats too; but I swear my cats were checking these out!

I wasn't going to confess to purchasing yet another cat deck, until somebody else came forward first.

If you are cat people and card people, you just might love "Tarot for Cats", a beautiful and absolutely hilarious book/deck you can use to read your cats' fortunes! The trump cards (sometimes incorrectly referred to as the "Major Arcana" or simply the Majors) all have a distinctly feline twist to them: "Judgment" depicts children choosing a kitten from several frisking about in a pet store's display window. "The Tower" is a climbing post, and so on.

There is also Evelyn Nicod's wonderful "Italian Cats" playing cards. I also have a European advertising deck for some cat food with cats on the courts. And of course there are multiple decks with a photo of a different breed on each card. One of these decks, "Meow", comes in a fish-shaped case!

I can promise you I'll now be looking for "Tarot for Cats," to go with my other Tarot decks, and having traveled throughout Italy, and fed the cats there too, I'll also have to look for "Italian Cats" too.

But please! No more suggestions... I'm trying to finish work on my first deck (code named Harthaven), and it's too easy to get side-tracked from getting the work done!

Just when I thought I was caught up, I loaded up on some stuff which I'll show before end of the month because some KS stuff is about to go out or already going out.

It's always people from Taiwan and Hong Kong that got all the good stuff and great some don't charge for shipping (though it's included in the price).

@Verloren Are the spade and club pips of the Porcelain deck black or navy?

Okay, no more suggestions. I'd love to see "Harthaven" when you're ready to show it.

One warning, though: Don't mistakenly get "Tarot of the Cat People" instead of "Tarot for Cats" - Bleah.

Fullerton?

I was an extremely non-stellar student at CSU Fullerton from about 1976-1978!

My last job (2004-2008) was in Anaheim, in the business park just north of The Anaheim Pond (later called The Arrowhead Arena, IIRC). I lived in West Covina at the time (having spent decades living elsewhere in the San Gabriel Valley (Baldwin Park 1962-1978, Hacienda Heights 1978-2006), and so drove through Fullerton (via the 57 Freeway or Brea Canyon Blvd) every day to and from my job, so I know your neck of the woods fairly well!

No, not him. It was another seller from France. I have ordered from the playcardz.net eBay handle before, though. I got the Cthulhu deck by Albino Dragon. If the package originates from Europe, does it still get sent back to the US then forwarded to you?

I don't know. I didn't open the deck. I mean to give it to my boyfriend who's a huge fan of Batman (and also a bit interested in card collecting). I'll let you know if it is, though!

I believe there is already an Italian cats deck. Mike would know more about it.

Here's a bunch of decks I got the other day. My boyfriend got them for on several stops during his vacation. The first one in the picture is an Illustrated Card deck featuring different places in Portland. He got it at a local shop in Portland, but this is actually one of the first playing card projects on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/94 ... ref=search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The second is a Hello Kitty deck he got at Narita airport in Japan. The next two are decks featuring scenes of nature in Oregon and the Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge.

The first on the bottom row is a Japanese Food playing card deck. It features different food and restaurants and even has the phone number for each!

The second deck on the bottom is a deck from San Francisco airport. He thought it was cheesy, but kinda like it. :P

The last two are Japanese playing cards featuring different Japanese artwork.

Could you find out the name of the shop? My wife and I live in Salem, only about a 45 minute drive south of Portland.
The second is a Hello Kitty deck he got at Narita airport in Japan.
Does it have Hello Kitty on the courts? There is a HK deck where the courts are all HK all dressed up as the courts. I saw images of the courts online years ago and spent lots of time in various HK stores trying to find it. Man, those stores each had TONS of decks, but the faces were always totally standard except for the joker and the Spade Ace. :( :( They usually sold them in a plastic case with the face of either the joker or the Spade Ace showing, leading me to think/hope that perhaps the courts were custom. I caught on after I bought a few decks, but never found the deck with the HK courts, though. :( :( :( :( I did find a couple of Sanrio decks with custom courts though, such as one with HK's frog friend KeroKero Keroppie on all of the courts, and his penguin friend (whose name I've forgotten) on all of the courts as well. It would be nice if I could find one with the custom HK courts to keep the others company some day...
The next two are decks featuring scenes of nature in Oregon and the Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge.
Okay, where did he pick these up? My wife and I have been trying to come up with some day trip destinations of late...

There is a spectacular drive along the Columbia River Gorge which was designed by the famous engineer Samuel Lancaster (dunno if we're related or not) in, I believe, the 1920s or so. We've only seen it on the web, and hope to drive it some day - knowing where your boyfriend got those cards would make the trip all the more worthwhile...
The last two are Japanese playing cards featuring different Japanese artwork.
I have two or three decks titled "HIROSHIGE PLAYING CARDS", each with different examples of Japanese art. I

Thanks for sharing those with us, and thank your boyfriend as well! (It almost makes up for his card-mutilating spree...) ;)
