Me too! Really lovely deck - even better in your hand than on the screen, everything works so well!

So what can you tell us about your plans for the next dark Venexiana deck? And how about a Firenze one as well?

Well, the Dark version will be quite different from this. The only elements to be the same will be the AoS and the pips. And the back design of course but revisited.
As for Firenze, it will have to wait. I already know the theme of my third deck and in fact I'm working it together with Dark Venexiana. I always do that at an early stage. I work on 2-3 themes at the same time and I see who wins!

Hey Lotrek,
Have just received my package. All the way to NZ in perfect condition. Beautiful deck, just flicking through the art. Love the joker switch

Lovely work, congrats.
Love the smell of freshly printed playing cards in the morning

Thanks Rick,
I'm glad you like the deck! Great fellow designers' opinion counts a lot.
BTW, I too was sniffing them all the time when I got them!

New deck smell from USPCC -- awesome.
New deck smell from the printers in Taiwan and... Shanghai, is it? Less than awesome. Much, much less that awesome.
Who knew, getting into this, that new deck smell would be rated, too?

Got my 3 decks today in germany.
Very well packed and arrived secured in bubble wrap!
This little "book" is awesome - my girlfriend said that this is one of the coolest addon she saw so far from all my playing card decks.
The jokers are very good - you can even do a small effect with them

The overall look and vibe of this deck is just beautiful! It´s fully custom and everything is in harmony. Very well done Lotrek!
It´s usefull for magic tricks since the face cards look "alive" so you can put them easily in a story based effect and enhance the story telling.
Many doors are open for story based magic here, just get these thinking gears grinding!

Playing card games with the Venexiana deck is no problem at all - easy to read pips and you can tell the cards easily apart from each other.
Here are some pictures of my decks. Enjoy

Beautiful cosmicsecret! Thank you
I'm very pleased to get positive comments for the packaging. I was anxious about how the decks will make it but apparently there were no problems.

My mini-review of the deck:
This deck is a winner. Pulling it out of the box, just the sight of the joker on top sets the tone (in a great way) for the rest of the deck. Love that the second joker reveal... is the joker, herself.
Love the illustrations of the courts. Love the pips and the general layout.
Interesting anomaly: I've only opened one deck, but in fanning it I noticed that the face side of the King of Diamonds has a slightly lighter color to the background than all of the other cards. This is not true of the back; only the face. But it is distinct, and it is true no matter how you look at it (assuming decent lighting conditions). I have not checked any other deck of mine to see if this is the case, but given that I have to assume that every deck is from one specific uncut sheet, this would imply a difference in the art for that deck, rather than a printing mishap. Can anyone else verify seeing this?
Suggestions for future decks: Again, I love the illustrations. I am, as it turns out, a sucker for metallic inks, and a little bit of metallic gold instead of the flat gold-ish color used as the lines in the pips and on the courts could really enhance the elegance of the deck. Allow me to suggest that you keep this possibility in mind for future decks.
Nice job, Lotrek. Well done.

Lotrek had posted about this on the KS Updates....i guess you didnt read them
Here for all :
Now, there is a little detail I feel I need to tell you about. In my quest for the "perfect tone" for the creamy background of the faces, I made a lot of minor changes, which resulted in one card (KoD) sneakily gaining a slightly lighter tone than the others. This was unnoticeable until the cards were printed. USPCC sent me a sample to examine it. I was relieved as I found it pretty acceptable and in no way justifying a reprint which would had resulted in a big delay for no reason, IMO. However a friend (and dealer) who saw it yesterday, told me that some people may spot it out. Although I don't really believe that one can find it important, I decided that I should let you all know about it.

@Rousselle:
I was going to answer that but cosmicsecret did it perfectly. As for metallic inks I'm getting myself a sucker for these! In the next deck hopefully I'll have.
Btw, Santa went nuts! If anyone here wants to get some decks, I have a very limited Xmas offer in my website:

Oops. Sorry about not catching that in the updates!
And, no big deal. It won't have any impact on how I use the cards. Fascinating issue, though.
Best continued success to you, Lotrek!

The packing was really good, one of the few times i didnt get dinged decks when it came in an envelope. I have a feeling is because of the little brochure placed inside the bubble wrap with the deck which protects the corners. Lotrek definitely continue with the fulfillment company you used this time in the future.

Everything was perfect in my package, Lotrek. I thought I already said so, but looking back I don't see it here. I might be thinking about another KS deck, because I received pledge reward fulfillments for 4 different projects all on the same day: Venexiana, Fed52 II, Cavaleras & UUSI's Blue Blood Redux replacement deck for one that was damaged in the original shipment.
