Thanks so much for the response, Randy! I'm really glad I'll still have a chance to get them post campaign. :)

I'm amazed at the level of support this deck is getting. What is it that makes this deck so popular?

:D Because it is an awesome deck! 8-)

More specifically, it's fully custom, beautifully designed, consistently themed, and did i mention it's beautiful?

Plus, we like nothing more than rewarding the hard work of any designer who has demonstrated professionalism and quality time and again. Consistency breeds loyalty, and success breeds success. :geek:

On the other hand, any campaign that offers up a total of 10 decks, if the quality is there, is going to raise big piles of cash!

Im sure that quality wise these cards are great, Its just that there is something about that design that just doesn't click with me. I have a feeling that they will look much better in real life than on pictures. However, I gotta say the Obsidians tucks look classy and the pack jacket is a fantastic as well.

And having 10 decks is not fair, I just can't get one deck because I know that it will feel very lonely all by itself in my home. I don't wanna split the family but it looks like I might have to do that. I can't go pass the Obsidians and also get one of the "lesser" decks. But which one?

Thanks guys!!

We couldn't have done it without all of the great UC regulars and lurkers!
It was definitely less stressful of a campaign than the last one.
I can't wait to see all of the final printed items!

thanks, Randy

I know that there is probably an obvious answer to this question but I'll ask anyway, do you (the producer of the deck) have to pay some sort of "royalties" to Bicycle to have their logo on your tuck case? And how much extra is it, if there is an extra, to have their brand; like percentage wise? To me the decks without the logo look way nicer to me.

Its $0.50 per deck if things havent changed. No royalties, no percentage, just a straight up fee

Damn, doesn't look like the final $125,000 stretch goal won't be reached. $12,000 away with 17 hours left.

Oh well, I think we can call this one a success anyway :D

I'm fairly certain that Randy will agree, having crested that $100,000 barrier that only 8 (or I guess 9 now? Independence) have ever seen.

I'm ecstatic with where we're at!! Before it launched my hope was that the Obsidian Decks would be made, and my Dream Goal was that we made it to 1,000 Backers and $100k. I couldn't be any happier with how everything turned out!

Thanks, Randy

Did my share! My wallet is flatter than a pancake after this one.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned (all right, moaned!) that I didn't have an original ornate brick box.

Randy messaged me and kindly offered to send me one - but when I opened my post this morning I was absolutely GOBSMACKED  !

Glad you got them safely Montecarlojoe! I figured there was no sense just sending a couple empty Brick Boxes out to the UK.

Since the ORNATE thread is bumped up, I'll post the photos of the prototype Coins that arrived today! I'm about 90% happy with them. I'll definitely have them do some adjustments with a few things (darker Green...). The Blue, Red and Black colors were with a new Translucence method they're working on. The Green and Purple is with the normal Enamel color method. The Translucence is a little too inconsistent in coverage and watercolor-like for my tastes. Besides that, they look sweet! They talked me into doing the prototypes with the shiny metal surfaces. They look great for the deisgns!

We just received BackerKit approval during lunch, so we'll be sending out the BackerKits around noon tomorrow. I'll do an Update with it and post higher res versions of the Coin photos.

thanks, Randy

Damn. I really like those coins! Any chance of adding them with Backerkit? Now that the initial $100+ has gone through for my pledge, I might be able to afford adding these. Strong emphasis on "might".

Typically you can with Backerkit. That's kinda last call for alcohol unless they have a site.

Hey Flyers,

Yep, the Coins will be available through BackerKit.
Everything in our final Add-Ons Chart will be available in BackerKit (pretty much everything EXCEPT White Bicycle Set items).

thanks, Randy

Hey Everyone,

I'll be doing a Kickstarter Update tonight with some more pics, but I wanted to post these now to show how the Brick Boxes look. They turned out beautifully!! The Embossing looks cool and is more detailed than the printer expected it to be with the extremely thick Paper Stock.

No news from USPCC yet on the Decks, but you never know with them. They should be finished in a week or two (hopefully).

thanks, Randy

Got my Black/ Gold Ornate tuck box thingy in the mail a few days back and just wanted to say how cool it is! VERY well shipped too- for a hollow box, there wasn't one imperfection. Impressive!

Received my Ornates just a day or two ago. Wow. Nice set, all the way around. Fantastic work, Randy!

And the coins! Coins are typically the only non-deck add-ons I go for (the occasional art book notwithstanding), and these coins are absolute jewels. These coins definitely kick it up a notch.

Thanks Vasta and Rousselle!

I've been waiting to start seeing some ORNATE pics in the Collection thread for a while now. How's everyone liking their Decks? I'm pretty sure HOPC is finished with the shipping, at least it was looking like they would be finished up last Friday.

CFA really does an awesome job with the Coins. I finished up the Draconian Coin this weekend. It should be just as cool as the Ornates Coins!

Thanks, Randy

Today I received my package and unfortunately 3 of the Obsidian decks are badly glued together. One is in very bad shape. Anyone else has this problem?

Here are few pics of the really bad one:
