Couldn't have said it better myself.Jocu wrote:How many of us didn't back but are still concerned with the way this was handled? At least 60-70%?
It's not about a box for us. We couldn't care less about a box that we didn't order. This has everything to do with trust in Kickstarter as a platform and has a knock on effect on campaigns we may do in future.
J+T's complete ineptitude in sourcing a viable supplier before offering a reward is a huge risk that has completely bitten them in the arse and yes, unfortunately, this means giving money back to backers.
Presumably there is stock left over - you will sell this stock (as you are doing through Murphy's) and should use THIS money to pay your backers. There is no excuse. Of course there's no money left - noone makes money off KS alone. But they have what they wanted - the decks. And now they're profiting from them.
They need to do the right thing and refund your backers the difference.

Thank you very much. We are trying our best to adapt to feedback. Sometimes a new thread may be made, but if so, it is completely unintentional. As for this deck in particular, our only intent was to let you know that we have offered it to our dealers and is now available if anyone is interested, separate from anything that may have happened with the kickstarter campaign. We, as a wholesaler, like to make as much as possible available to you - and that was our only intent - to let you know it is now available. We were not directly involved in the kickstarter campaign mentioned.rousselle wrote:You know what?
I want to commend Murphy's for how they handled their post here. They have listened to our feedback and adapted, accordingly. They now point out that the links to their site are *for more information on each deck.* PLUS, they added their post to an existing thread for these decks, rather than starting a new one.
Yeah, I know, most of this thread has been spent decrying J&T for not getting the point of their customer complaints, but Murphy's *has* been listening, and has been adjusting their messaging. So, kudos to Murphy's.
As for J&T... I think it's a shame they are not even considering a refund for the product they are clearly not delivering. That said, they are at least offering *something* (the additional decks), which is more than can be said of certain other project creators who have fallen short. That said, I appreciate the fact that they are still coming into the lion's den and reading what their critics have to say. I hope this will lead to a better understanding and better... project management, at least... down the road.
Frankly, while this whole escapade does make me unlikely to back future KS projects of theirs, it doesn't discourage me from considering buying the decks after they've been produced in the after-market.
yo Murphys - it's awesome to have you comin' around and even more so that you're actually paying attention and engaging with the community!MurphysMagic wrote:Thank you very much. I suppose. J&T did throw some shade here, though, early on during criticism. They both have awful PR.ICantShuffle wrote:I don't know if it's fair to put J&T on the same level as the SVI Group.

You didn't make a mistake.Joker and the Thief wrote: Look, it comes down like this. We made a genuine mistake trying to deliver a product on time. We have admitted this. And we are taking action on it. At this point, it’s better than nothing. We are handling this issue in the best way possible and took our time to consider our options. Any reasonable person will see this and take it us up on our offer.
Our reputation is fine outside of the little world of this forum. We are working on much bigger and greater things. For you, time will reveal.
