I understand what you mean, but...I have my Elegance deck(s) now on my table, same face cards in both decks but different back, one is black the other is white (max possible difference then) and I mixed them together. I am looking at the mixed deck right now (half black, half white cards), with the deck sitting on the table (deck is still) it is impossible to distinguish that some cards might have different backs (or faces, would be in Bellezza design, same thing). All this under realistic play conditions.
I agree, If you put the deck in your eye level in pefect conditions and look real closely, you might be able to see the inside edges are not all the same color. But that happens with every deck that has various artwork extending to the edges or with decks that don't have solid color but have a "dirty" face or other designs, patterns, some have maps on them, or designs that reveal a pic when you put cards in order side by side etc. (for example, live on KS, Da Vinci deck, or Beetle Royale, Mythical etc.).
In realistic play conditions (and I emphasize...realistic), that doesn't reveal anything.
You will not be able to detect what card, what suit is dealt especially impossible to tell if it's court or not (after all half of deck has red, half has blue borders).
And lastly and most important, when holding card fan in hands, or fan on table...it is impossible (!!) to tell which card has blue or red faces. Cannot be done for sure. (I am looking at my mixed Elegance decks right now, faces up on table, backs down (cause the backs are black...and white)..., there is absolutely no difference between one card and the other. The inside edge, black or white cannot be visible, is not visible. No way to tell which has black which white back.)
This is what my little experiment with Elegance cards tells me, I still respect different opinions...and thank you guys for taking time to read my (so far) not so short posts
