The registration and foil consistency of USPCC's MetalLuxe is well-known. Any backers that didn't understand this going in has either been living under a rock or deluding themselves. I am looking forward to getting my decks. Honestly...

It's not a choice to not sell internationally. They're actually not allowed in many cases.

From the Wizard of Oz Kickstarter:

We definitely don't hate you. The truth is that many of our properties have strict licensing for territories so that we can't sell worldwide. We're continually trying to find new ways to make products available to more countries but it is taking some time. We hope to have the opportunity to provide some projects to our international friends early next year."

This has nothing to do with not being available to international backers but the fact that he made sure to ship out all domestic orders, now they are going away for a couple of weeks putting international orders off for the time being. As if international customers don't already have to wait long enough now we have to wait twice as long as a result of these unnecessary delays. In fact I would always recommend creators ship out international rewards first since they take much longer to arrive and domestic backers will still get theirs in a few days.

So let me get this straight. You're pissed because domestic backers for a product produced in the US got the decks before you? Could you be a whinier #$%^?
Guess what, when a lot of the EPCC-produced or Cartamundi-produced decks are done, I know I get them after most international backers. But I don't care and even expect it. Even with their "delay" of a show, you will still get your shipment before the original expected delivery of June. Do you understand that? You're still getting your reward before it was supposed to deliver. Actually, you asked for your refund so I guess you won't. No wonder some producers cancel your pledges. Victor, just go away already.

Well, to be completey honest, how soon we receive our decks would depend more on who does the fulfillment rather than on who makes the cards. For instance, Stockholm 17's HOTRS made by Cartamundi were fulfilled by GW, so, although it was a deck made in Sweden and printed in Belgium, we received it in Europe later that you guys in the States.

I'm not complaining, mind you. Just pointing out.

Got my silverbacks today and unfortunately as the previous uncut picture suggests, a lot of detail is lost in the foil. USPCC metalluxe technology just isn't in a place where it can render detail it seems. Lots of distinct shapes morphing into one formless blob particularly in the central gorillas themselves all line work is lost, and in the bananas on the inner corners as well to a lesser extent. A real shame. Honey bee elite edition had a similar issue with the intricate honeycomb pattern being lost in many places. As of right now it appears USPCC is really dropping the ball in the foiled cards department, with higher prices and consistent registration / detailing issues in recent releases there is really no reason to use them over Cartamundi if you are printing a deck with foil on the cards.

Hey, folks. Please stop with the name-calling.

Thanks.

Regarding these decks: USPS says mine are out for delivery, so I should be seeing mine later today. Looking forward to it.

I wasn’t trying to be whiny, hell I wasn’t even the one who brought up the international shipping to begin with.

Also as I mentioned it has more to do with the fact that they got to domestic orders but not the rest, like we aren’t important to them. Also yes it is in advance of the June delivery date, but this is a project that was funded last August! I don’t know what card project needs 8 months to produce!

Maybe silver Metalluxe is the problem. I think that the Spirit 2 Metalluxe deck wasn't great either.

The best gold Metalluxe deck I have that's done the best is the gold Gatorbacks.

Yes there are many fantastically done metaluxe decks, the classic rider back bicycle lux in its many colors and the rarebit come to mind so the potential is there it’s just a matter of consistency. Or maybe those designs are made in such a way as to avoid the problems of the technology I would have to go back and look at how those backs are designed.

I love lamp. I mean Gold Monarchs.

Not sure how, this far down the road, a MetalLuxe deck turned out so poor (for lack of a better term).

Sorry Flyers, you missed the point. I could care less which projects they sell to OS backers or not. If they do send internationally, however, I don't believe they should have their delivery artificially delayed because they are going on holidays.

Yeah, I saw the update later. I get being frustrated and feeling like international backers are getting the shaft - there's no question you do when it comes to shipping costs, but that's more the fault of USPS and others. The timing of their "holidays" (show) sucks, but I stand by the fact that you're still probably going to get your decks before the expected delivery date. I don't know if what they did really warrants putting them on the "never back again" list, but to each his own.
