Tax on cards to Canada. Thanks Donald

Unread post by joeblow »

Canada is imposing dollar-for-dollar tariff “countermeasures” on up to $16.6 billion worth of U.S. imports in response to the American decision to make good on its threat of similar tariffs against Canadian-made steel and aluminum.

The tariffs, which apply to a long list of U.S. products that includes everything from flat-rolled steel to playing cards and felt-tipped pens, will go into effect July 1

It looks like a 10% tariff on playing cards from US to Canada! Oh and other less important products like steel, whisky and toilet paper.

I was making a joke. Hence the smiley.

But, for the sake of argument:

Enlighten me. Why does it makes sense to blame the U.S. for something the Canadian Government decides to do? Sure, we implement trade tariffs. By that logic, we should blame Canada for the U.S. imposing the tariffs? So, ultimately, this whole thing is Canada's fault?

That was funny. I am not a Southpark fan, but so much truth in that. Yep, Canadians.

Excuse me as I take off my cowboy hat and scratch my confused head.

Cuz our idiots wouldn't do stupid stuff if your idiots didn't do it first. So if you nuke me and I nuke you back, it's really not my fault. ;)

Yessssssssss.

Speaking of South Park, I just love the Comedy Central mini-marathons. Watching Cartman brag about getting his period this morning really started the day off right.

FYI - I work with an international freight forwarder and have all Canadian customs prepaid so customers will not incur any extra fees. Unfortunately this program is unavailable to other international countries at this time.
