Re: "Fifth Deception" Playing Cards - Signup Form
The explanation for the deck's relation to SIMULATION was not described in the article, though I specifically sent it for that reason, but we all make mistakes. I chose the name because we as magicians spend our career presenting one thing as something else entirely. While you may not see this in th...

The Cafe Cut :: First Look
Hey guys! I am first and foremost a magician. I'm NOT into Cardistry, nor do I perform fancy flourishes. HOWEVER, I decided to give it a go just for the heck of it, so here is my attempt at a mock trailer for my new flourish, the "Cafe Cut", which, besides looking flashy and pretty, retain...

HOW DO I PREPARE?????

Re: new effects
FLASH is a revamped version of the classic color-changing knives, but with flash or USB drives. What I like about it is how simple it is to perform, and the kicker at the end is SO unexpected. I would definitely recommend it.

Re: HELP!
Thanks very much! I knew that all of these resources existed, but I was talking more around the lines of certain moves that I can practice while I wait for my money to grow enough to purchase one or more of these aforementioned DVD's. However, you DID give me a great selection, so thank you!

I was lucky enough to get ahold of the Phoenix deck, but I haven't opened it because I thought I might be able to find another to actually use. No such luck...

Don't go Walrus! We haven't even walked the beach with you yet! Besides, they're just having non-card-related fun; we all need a break sometimes. Also, does anyone have the new ORNATE decks yet? I'd like to know what you think before I purchase one or two...

Same idea, yes, but much more geometric in design. You get the idea, though.
And what kind of sea mammal? Walrus?

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
First of all. that's AWESOME. What the hell is that?!
Second of all, no, that's not what I mean. I meant all the cards have the same rainbow design on them, as opposed to what that deck displays, or the Spectrum deck, for that matter. It's hard to explain without showing you an example...

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
Here's a random thought: Would any flourishers be interested in a deck of cards with a full rainbow back design? And I don't mean the DECK is rainbow; I mean each CARD has a rainbow design on it, plus some designs in the corners as an extra addition.

A Dream of Jerry's Nugget
I had a VERY serious question to ask y'all. If it were approved by the casino, how many of you might be interested in a reprint of the blue Jerry's Nugget playing cards, reproduced as faithfully and as closely as possible to the originals? Keep in mind that the originals had a finish that is no long...

Re: "EMPEROR" Luxury Playing Cards
*sigh* You know what, fine. Let's just call it clip-art and be done with it. I didn't post my art so that we could create petty arguments. I wanted constructive criticism and THAT'S ALL. Does that sound okay to you?

Wow...I didn't realize they were clip-art somewhere else. I found them as a font, and adjusted them as needed. Thanks for the info; I really appreciate your diligence.

Re: "EMPEROR" Luxury Playing Cards
First of all, I appreciate your thoughts, and I understand. Second of all, that's NOT clip-art, and third, I'm doing all of my designs in Microsoft Paint because that's all I have; this isn't going to turn out perfect.

I'm not sure what you mean by "line weights". And yes, the wavyness is to SIMULATE SILVER FOIL ONLY. It is NOT part of the design.

Re: "EMPEROR" Luxury Playing Cards
Thanks for the input. I finished the back design and adjusted the line on the left side of the deck; apparently I cannot have both the distributor and the USPCC on the same deck. The first link is with the title in the normal place; the second has the "on the bottom" idea, and the third is...

Re: Regalia Back Playing Cards
I wasn't totally sure how I wanted them, though AARCO faces may match the style the best. HOWEVER, I know that people (magicians especially) get sick of the standard faces, even the AARCO ones, so I'm not sure what the preference might be.

"EMPEROR" Luxury Playing Cards
Hey guys! I wanted to be a little ambitious with my next project, so here's the result of that mind-push. I call them the "EMPEROR" Playing Cards, and I think the tuck looks really nice. The back design is not finished yet, and I plan on putting a subtle pattern behind the main designs. I ...

Re: Creating a custom deck - how do you start?
I have all of the templates direct from USPCC (I emailed them; they are extremely nice). I received the templates for Ace through King in Bicycle AND Aarco faces. In Bicycle however, the court cards are slightly incomplete; I assume this is so you can customize them if you wish. Here is their email:...

Bicycle "Penny Back" Playing Cards
Hey there! Today my prototypes arrived for my "Penny Back" design (for those of you wondering where the name comes from, the type of bicycle featured on the back design was called a "penny-farthing"). What do you think? Would YOU buy this deck? Link: http://s1307.beta.photobucket...

Thanks for the support! Technically I'm a semi-pro, as I cannot find enough magical work where I live to support myself, but I sort of like it that way. My debut release on the Wire will be something I call the "Toboggan Control". It was submitted today, so expect a release within the next...

Hey guys! I was just wondering whether or not you might like to check out my YouTube channel and give me some feedback on these effects I've posted. They are a mix of "covers" and original effects, some of which will be featured on Theory11's "The Wire" (plug, plug). Thanks! Link...
