[law_kid] Letter from the President of USPCC
Couldn't quite figure out which forum to post this, but this seemed like the best fit. A friend of mine who knows about my enthusiasm for playing cards sent a registered letter to the President of USPCC, telling him about how I'm the company's biggest fan and asking him if he'd send me a witty lette...

Re: Key West Resort&Casino playing cards - Live on Kickstart
My thoughts exactly. I know must people here are looking for the custom court, or flashy backs with a slippery finish, but this guy made a great deck for people who play cards. And he was an honest, good communicator who did his research and came out with a deck that, while not eye popping or for m...

This description made my morning.hikeeba wrote:Their marketing is as irritating as a screaming Gilbert Gottfried scraping his fingernails down a chalkboard while a whining baby plays with mating cicadas being serenaded by an orchestra of vuvuzelas.

Angel Back Squeezers (reprints) or Texan 45 reprints (non-palmetto). I'm a sucker for vintage faces.

Re: Bicycle Heraldry Playing Cards now live on Kickstarter
The backs aren't bad, but "The faces have been carefully altered to match the look and feel of the Heraldry theme."??? Not sure how that stament connects to the "fake distressed" look applied to standard Bicycle faces.

Re: Back to the Roots
Hey Guys, How would you like to go back to the roots for a few decks and stick with the basics? Custom elegant tuck case, custom pips but not over the top, custom ace and elegant jokers. I would love to see more decks with standard court designs but with a variation in the hue. I think this sounds ...

I really like the look, but definitely think that $15 is quite pricey.

I am always amused by this story- producing a back solely to celebrate a flagrant antitrust violation.

I'm law_kid
Hi, I'm more of a collector than a cardist. I'm into the old stuff as well as new, and particularly fond of the new stuff that looks like old stuff. :) I'm a big fan of just about anything "Bicycle." I try to keep track of all the old Bicycle backs and some of the new ones on my website he...
