Re: Team Pinto Deck reviewed by Magic Orthodoxy

Thought this might be related to the car or the horse.

Wrong on both counts! :)

For Sale: A medium-sized collection

Hello ~ Shipping from the USA, this set is not listed on eBay. My email is: swissarmytenor@yahoo.com All are in excellent condition. Many have much of the cellophane still on them, but all of them have been looked at. I had considered selling individually. All told, the total for all the decks liste...

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread

Scored an Absolut Vodka deck from ebay - along with 5 other decks that are of little value to me - for $16.99. I was the only bidder. Think the Absolut deck, which I have been wanting, got lost along the other decks ("Absolut" was not in the title of the description, but "vodka" ...

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread

"Dawn of the Dead" (1978) is one of my all-time favorite movies. In high school and college, it seems I went to see it as a midnight move over 30 times! Browsing today, I found this deck and snapped it up immediately. I now have the movie, the 'novelization' of the movie (poorly written by...

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread

Today I got - among other decks - a yellow Verve deck that was either cut poorly or printed poorly. White borders are a little uneven and off-angle. Sending them back. EDIT: Heard back from the dealer. They'll accept the return, but want to charge a 20% restocking fee. I politely, but firmly explain...

Re: Bacon Playing Cards by Vända - Update

Now I can do a Bacon Card to my Bacon Wallet.

I'll have to check to make sure I didn't throw out my Bacon Wallet. I actually got one a few years back at a novelty store in Chicago.

Re: Nothing but Suits Playing Cards (KS)

Got to say, if nothing else there's a lot of creativity going on these days!

Holy cow! At first glance I thought, "Nooo!" But after looking at them awhile, there's something kind of intriguing about them.

Re: Bicycle Dragon Back (green and yellow editions) pre-sale

The gold version is my favorite of the 3, followed by the new green & yellow (no particular order). The blue is my least favorite by a good stretch.

Here are some possible ladies for Queens: (I posted an image in another thread the other day, couldn't do it here, for some reason). Gina, from "Brides of Dracula" http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5YJiYGU3xCo/TL5iTLZGw5I/AAAAAAAAACs/rk0VZULN0Hs/s1600/brides-of-dracula-1960A.bmp" onclick=&quo...

Re: Ways to gauge card stock on prospective decks

Thanks for the reply, David. You confirmed what I was thinking. I wasn't referring to 'thinness', necessarily, as I've got some same-thickness decks that are a little variable in their flexibility, but I wasn't aware that Aristocrat stock tended to be thinner - thanks for the reference on that. Heh....

Ways to gauge card stock on prospective decks

When considering purchasing a deck of cards, its usually pretty easy to know what you're getting as far as how the deck looks, but there seems to be no way (aside from a mention in the ad copy) whether you're getting a deck that has light or flimsy stock or not. For example, I recently got a purple ...

There are PLENTY of humanoid female candidates to choose - no need at all for Godzilla and King Kong to become Queens - they are definitely Ace or King material!

Re: Good day ~

Thanks for the welcome, Mike and Tom.

Tom, yes, I'm a singer. I do remember ReviewXCM, watched some of his reviews (among the many reviewers out there). Even put out 2-3 low-tech reviews myself! I always enjoy hearing people discuss various decks, whether I agree with the review or not.

Good day ~

Glad to be here. I've been into magic of all kinds for quite a long time, but only in the last 2-3 of years have I been really following cards and their qualities and designs. It all started when I ran into a good fellow named "Alicaint" on Youtube - loved watching his reviews and listenin...
