Re: My New Deck

By the way, mrdude42: The King of Hearts is often called The Suicide King because he holds the sword behind his head, and the flat, two-dimensional view we have of it makes it look like he has stuck the sword through his head. Your King of Hearts most definitely has his sword running through his hea...

Re: My New Deck

I like the courts, mrdude42! Decks with custom courts are my favorites, and I like what you have done so far! Your King of Clubs reminds me: Has anyone else wondered why the King of Clubs is usually shown with an orb floating in mid-air in front of him? There is a reason! Back in the very early days...

Re: 8 weeks in and already 40 decks in

Hey Fluffy! I've got it bad as well... looking at my tally from KickStarter, up until mid-November, I'm now on the line for 32 decks... HA HA HA 32 decks!!! I didn't know there had been that many ok kickstarter. MJF didn't say 32 different decks! He/she might have gotten 32 copies of the same deck!...

Re: Inserting images into posts?

That's odd.

When I click on it, it takes me immediately to the second URL you mention, and stays there.

Perhaps a diff in our browsers? I'm using IE7.

I see no redirecting. click on the link, and do a right-click/Properties on the image trhat comes up. You will see the exact same URL as is in the IMG tags.

Re: Inserting images into posts?

if you can see that i just clicked the Img tab and placed the full url inbetween [img]http://www.funnyjunksite.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/funny_cat_pictures_095.jpg[/img] ...which is exactly what I did. Could it be because the images I am trying to display are .gif files and yours is a .jpg file?

I am an "old school" anime fan. "My Neighbor Totoro" is one of my favorite films of all time, of any type! My son and I used to watch a lot of anime on TV together. What was that film noirish Science fiction series about the space ship with the bounty hunter crew - they had a me...

Re: HOW I STARTED THIS ADDICTION - ER, COLLECTION

Here is another story of a great feeling I got from a Playing Card collecting experience: I was attending a convention of the 52 Plus Joker organization (a society of collectors of American playing cards) in 1997 when the then-president of the club told me that he had purchased a great deck of cards...

Thanks, Cardman! Of course, I couldn't do a "windmill" if my life depended on it! By the way, your User Name reminds me of when many folks -especially the clerks in various stores where I looked for playing cards on my lunch hour - called me "The Playing Card Guy"! I would walk i...

Very cool (and extensive!) story about your hobby. I'd wager that you have one of the largest collections of anyone on here, and probably have been collecting for a lot longer than most as well. Very interesting to hear of all the things you've found and seen, and if you come across any new acquisi...

HOW I STARTED THIS ADDICTION - ER, COLLECTION

Hello again all: Robert S. Lancaster here again. As I said in my "Introcing RSLancaster (me)!" thread (in the "Introduce Yourself" section of the UC Forum), I have a collection of more than 2,000 decks of unusual playing cards - primarily deks with non-standard (custom) courts. A...

Re: Introducing RSLancastr (me)!

Thanks, Emmanuel, and thanks for checking out the archive of my site! I'm glad the site made your day, and I know wh...
