Re: Damascus by Emilysleights52 and Xavior Spade [March 17 2025]
I was stating my appreciation for the fact that both Emily and Jackson are honest about their pro AI stance and that they embrace the technology in their work/promotion. I am not sure why that is such a cause for everyone to play word spaghetti and confuse each other. Because no one else has heard ...

Re: Damascus by Emilysleights52 and Xavior Spade [March 17 2025]
I think it's very unclear what wonderfulfacts is intimating. Sounds like they're either saying 'Emily and Jackson have both admitted to using AI to make card art and have stated so on Insta" or 'Emily and Jackson have both used AI for marketing on Inta but not for actual card art'. Or maybe the...

Re: No Borders Edition 2 by Joker and the Thief
How is it that UK pledges are being fulfilled by a UK company but costs the same as the rest of the world? Honestly the day a Kickstarter figures out how to ship stuff at a reasonable cost someone's gonna make a killing.

Re: Tigers by Kings Wild Project
Got to say out of all the versions of Tigers I way prefer the standard V2s. Two way courts, tiger heads, cool back, cool tuck, NOT gilded and cheap. One of the decks that does it all for me.

Re: Jazz Riff by Wondercraft Cards (ill. John Battalgazi)
Where are you based? UK. It's $15 shipping from Wondercraft (which isn't the worst I've seen) plus another 5-10 for vat which they add automatically which I understand but I've never been charged by customs when people don't include tax. The whole thing ends up being more than the price of the deck...

Re: Jazz Riff by Wondercraft Cards (ill. John Battalgazi)
We will have these on our own site, but do not plan to sell through other retailers at the moment. They are on pre-order on the site now if you're looking to buy some. www.wondercraftcards.com It's the shipping costs that put me off, same reason I didn't get it through KS. Local retailers or one th...

Thank you for the kind words. We are very happy with how the deck came out and had a feeling it would surprise some folks. We are 99.9% finished with Kickstarter fulfillment so you can buy the decks on our website now. www.Wondercraftcards.com Will you be selling these through other retailers?

Re: High Flyers Playing Cards by Squiddle Ink
Looking forward to getting these. I also managed to snag a pack of Digital Petroglyphs of ebay (along with long sort after Viceroys by Ian Cumpstey and Wicked Kingdom by Wylie Beckert - been quite the month) so my Squiddle collection's looking very nice at the moment. Also looking forward to what yo...

Re: The House of the Rising Spade
The key on the bottom of the ace of hearts is a great example of what distinguishes great cold foiling from Cartamundi and many others. So much detail lost. I notice the keys on the AoS still show the original key so now it doesn't match. Seem like a lazy error although I'm sure it was deliberate b...

Re: Monster Cereals by Fulton's
These are pretty horrible in every respect. If they were USPCC and 7.99 than fair enough but $20 a pop with the same courts for each deck and even the same background on each court card is just a lazy cash crab for Halloween. And fifty bucks for the gilded... Chinese companies must offer gilding at ...

I like the concept but the execution feels a little bland to me. Comes across like a bunch of people carrying sticks with nothing very magical about them.

Re: Bicycle Retro Rocket (Pengiun Magic, Sept. 7)
You still get free shipping if you wait until you have $100 in your cart Yes but I only buy a deck at a time and months apart so for me personally it isn't a valid option. I do appreciate they are trying to offer the best prices they can but the only temptation will be if they produce a really stel...

Re: Bicycle Retro Rocket (Pengiun Magic, Sept. 7)
To be honest it doesn't matter anymore. Now that they've raised their shipping prices there's no reason to trawl through the horrendous search UI to find decks, much better value to use Vanishing or JPG for stuff. Shame really. If they had bothered to fix their site before the price hike I might sti...

Re: Room 237 by Penguin Magic
I don't really see how making it slightly closer to two-way makes any difference. Either it's symmetrical or it isn't. If anything they've made it worse because it's now more difficult to sort the cards out. It always bugs me when a geometric design that could easily be two-way isn't for some reason...

Re: Room 237 by Penguin Magic
None of their in-house decks are USPCC anymore but this is still a cool deck, worth getting if you don't have it already I'd say. Personally I prefer it to the similarly themed Overlook deck in terms of art and design. And their ultralux cards handles okay. I think the general consensus is it's a Ch...

Re: Room 237 by Penguin Magic
Different printer, the old one was USPCC. Also looks like the cardback is slightly different but still one way which is annoying. If it was two way I think I would have picked up a copy, although they no longer do free shipping so that sucks all around.

Re: Ronin by kings wild project
So, I like this deck. I like the art, the name Ronin is cool, the pips are fine, overall it fits into the kind of strongly themed deck I like. My only issue is with the tucks. It feels very basic to me. Not that you can't have cool minimalist tuck design and I'm sure it cuts down on costs and simpli...

Hey, welcome. I like your deck concept and you seem to have a good eye for colour combinations. Are you planning on having symmetrical card backs? I'm curious which 100 decks caught your fancy over the last 15 years, do you have a Portfolio52 account?

Both Penguin and Vanishing are showing a "restock" date as June 3rd which is probably the release date. Are you sure the sold out page isn't just a place holder so they could get the page up early?

Re: P52 Debut Deck 'Odd Fellows' by Stockholm 17
I think I would back if there was a foiled front and back with no gilding version. Don't like gilded decks, the handling, the flaking off, the tacky look of shiny gold paint all turn me off and I already have a couple of decks in the range so I feel my interest in the Odd Fellows is no longer piqued...

Re: Tragoedia Macbethi Playing Cards - Experience the Tragedy of Macbeth
$22k is a very high target for a first time deck. That has nothing to do with the value of what you're offering, it just means 22k is too high full stop, so cut your cloth accoridingly. If you can't offer those decks for less, change what you're offering. A reasonable first time effort would be in t...

Re: Tragoedia Macbethi Playing Cards - Experience the Tragedy of Macbeth
So I had my eye on these, art looks good (although the Limited is so much better than the standard I'm not sure it was worth making this two decks) but as usual the shipping is just way too much for me to even be on the fence. £10 for one deck from a UK designer when I'm in the UK is just... I reali...
