Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Dave, I love the fact that you're continuing to engage here. For me, I love the card stock, and I think the varnish is the most obvious place where some improvement will really make Licorice (sp?) Press cards start to sing. As it is, the varnish is nowhere near as bad as NPCC (which, otherwise, pro...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Hey Harvonsgrad, Thank you very much. I really appreciate the kind words and again the feedback. It's very helpful indeed. I agree. Many people do hide issues or problems with production which in my opinion is a mistake. Especially for me as I was using a first-time printer, it would have been a bad...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
@Bdawg923 Oh, please don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate the honest feedback and when I was referring to you not liking the cards, I meant the cards themselves. I'm super happy that you like the tucks, design and colours and I'm even happier to have you as a part of the series as a whole, it ...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Hey all, I hope you're doing well? @Harvonsgard Thanks for the feedback. It's exceptionally helpful and insightful. I very much appreciate it. Please know I am aware that the comments and feedback here are likely to hold more weight than some of the more general feedback I have received. Some of you...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Already filled out the survey but just wanted to chime in here on your choices. I did write in my own. To me, black foil, and white, just look like shiny ink or spot uv. I would say, as a foil, they aren't really a foil. They aren't metallic in any way. If I were a designer, or producer, I would pr...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
I think since the name of the first deck was called Uranium, it's worth revisiting the periodic table to seek out elements or compounds that produce different colors of flame, to look for the most unusual and probably to match the names for the forthcoming decks :) Thanks for the input, this...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Hey guys, Thank, I really appreciate the ideas, they're all awesome and have given me a lot to consider. With regards to the colours of the next two decks (blue/yellow), I will be looking through card stock in the coming week or so to see what's available. Because the stock that the Uranium deck is ...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Hiya all, I hope you're all well. I just wanted to assure you guys that I will not be launching the second set of this series until the first is completed and every single pledge has had their cards. Also, not until people have had a chance to review and feedback on the Liquorice Press' cards. I may...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Possible stretch goal: Glow in the dark tuck? :) I totally agree, and this was the original idea, but the glow in the dark stock quality available is a bit crappy. We would need to use glow in the dark ink on the tuck, which would just look white in the light and that would just not have the same a...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
As a former nuclear engineering crew member aboard a submarine and having the radiation symbol tattooed on me, I really like this deck. While I think the tuck design could have been a little more detailed and full, I think this design works fairly well. I was surprised to see a biohazard deck as an...

Re: Uranium 52 Playing Cards / KS
Hey all, I'm Dave, I designed this deck. I just wanted to say thanks for the support and the feedback you guys have posted. Just to address the elephant in the room... I appreciate the fact that a new printer comes with risk, but I feel it's a good step forward for other creators who want options fo...

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS
Looks like he has designed one other deck before as mentioned “ Phoenix Apocalypse Playing Cards” which look amazing. And his work on the Behance link is really cool too. Personally, I’ll take a pass on these, but he definitely has caught my eye. Thank you for your kind words. I look forward to sho...

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS
Haha, I do have plans to, but first, I need to raise 2K for a tablet. It'll come. Or, instead of competing, I could just happily bob along in the middle doing a little bit of both Illustrative/graphic. The reason I like this industry/community is that I don't necessarily see it as competitive, to me...

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS
Haha, Kem, because my Cintiq graphics tablet died after my cat vomited in it, so before I do any (extensive) illustrative work for a deck, such as vectorising this artwork (plus a lot more I have that's not online), I will need to get a new one.
Thanks though!

Ahhhhhh, it's all kind of embarrassing...Please just bear in mind this was a uni project I did whilst learning design.

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS
Hey Kem, Really, thank you for your message, your feedback is awesome. I shall note this down and, as above, use it either in re-launching this project should it not be funded (with product amends suggested by the community) on a shorter, cheaper print run so I can bring the goal down and/or in futu...

Thanks chaps,
Again, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I really appreciate this feedback. I shall ensure it's noted and collated for future use.
Thanks again.
All the best,
Dave

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS
Hi guys, @BaconWise - Thanks so much for sharing the support and I definately owe you one. @rgamble - Thank you for the feedback, it's exceptionally valuable to have and it's hard to come by this kind of honest feedback. Apologies that the design doesn't suit your taste this time around. I just want...
