Me too, it looks like it may be very close... hopefully he'll get a big bump at the end like a lot of projects do.

He should be teasing some images of the black deck soon, and that should help raise some more funds!

I'm actually pretty surprised that the whole "secret pledge" thing never got revealed. There were 165 HOPE stickers left unclaimed at the end of the campaign!

It was discussed here and on the Discourse a bit but yeah I'm amazed nobody put it in the comments @ kickstarter. People @ the discourse were quite skeptical of the bid level because technically all he would have to do was send out a sticker to those that pledged at that level and as such, they pledged for different levels. I don't understand why they'd do that though. I mean, would the guy really want to screw over himself with any future endeavors by only sending out stickers to the people that pledged at that level while still sending out decks to everyone else? IMO if he wanted to screw people over he'd screw everyone and have already washed the funds through a few different accounts. So why not go for the pledge level that offered the best investment / reward ratio?

In any case, I'm glad I bid for the sticker level and can't wait for my goodie(s) to arrive. The updates were cool and the little seek and find games that were held were fun.

Hey, sorry to those of you who missed out...

My recollection is that it was pretty clearly revealed here in the original thread. I know i brought it up myself at least once...

Guess it pays to read the whole thread...

The whole downtime of UC and losing a lot of the posts probably helped keep the secret. Not everyone fed their card addiction by browsing the discourse as well.

LATEST UPDATE - May 7:

"The stickers are in, all the shipping materials are in, the cards are printed and being packaged this week.

If all goes well I will get them here in Utah in about 10 days and start shipping right around the same time that I launch my next project (yep I know I am crazy) which is May 19th and I should get everything out the door by the end of May!"



I asked him if he was using any fulfillment company and the reply was -

"I told myself that if I cleared 1000 backers I would use a fulfillment company when I starter the project - but in the end my gut said - just do it yourself. So yeah I (with some help of some friends) will tackle it!"


He has 1,522 backers.

I hope all goes well for him, but I've set myself to the knowledge that I won't be getting them as quick as I imagined.

He probably wanted to save some money by doing it himself instead of paying a fulfillment company to do it. Well, it might not be as quick, but as long as the decks arrive in good condition, I guess it's not a big problem...

If he does ultimately we will pay for it, both in money and in care. My experience has been most fulfillment houses do not know how to best pack cards.

Obviously you want to pick one that has experience and a good reputation in regards to deck packaging.

Aye, or Lake Michigan Mailers. Both have sterling reputations and an error rate under 1% which I feel is a key to success! Jackson is getting better daily, MM has been perfection to date.

Does the fulfillment agency also take care resenting decks that arrived damaged to the sender, or is that something that I will have to do?


Im asking since I'm in Australia and if I ever get a successful project then I will definitely have to use a fulfillment agency.
