Hi All,

Happy National Playing Card Collection day, I hope you all managed to pick up the NPCCD decks you wanted.

So from today I'm officially launching the Secret Santa Deck exchange again.

Here is how it works:

Comment below or drop me a PM stating that you would like to take part and PM me with your shipping address.
You can either just say "I'm in" or you can write a wishlist (Maximum 5 decks).
You can also make your wishlist anonymous by sending it to me via PM to repost.
Anyone who states they're in or posts a wishlist will be required to ship a deck (or more if you're feeling generous) of their choice* to another participating member (This could be anywhere in the world but I will try to match you up with someone close by).

*No standard Bicycle decks please, The more custom the decks are the better.

If any participating member can fulfil a wish from a wishlist please send me a PM and I will (where possible) match you up with that person.

If you don't want to write a wishlist or none of your wishes are fulfilled by other participants then remaining participants will be randomly matched (Hopefully with someone close by).

I will PM all participants on December 1st to let you know who you are shipping to and if you need to ship a requested deck from a wishlist.

I hope that all makes sense.

There's a high chance that participants won't receive decks from their wishlist anyway but will be gifted an alternative deck(s) by their secret santa.

I only added the wishlist this year as last year there were concerns that people would be spending money shipping decks that the other person already had or didn't want.

That's exactly what I did in the Reddit exchange last year. You could upload a website to Elfster and folks could just take a look at my wishlist and my current collection. Worked like a charm!

I'm in two minds about sharing P52 links.

On one hand I can see that it would be very useful to see a particular person's collection and wishlist but on the other hand I feel it undermines the whole Secret Santa ethos somewhat.

I was reluctant to include wishlists as it is as I feel it is slightly unfair for those who don't get a wish granted but thought I would trial it this year.

I like to keep things simple and in the true essence of a secret Santa I would prefer it if names were just allocated at random and you gift that person a deck that you think they would like with no prior knowledge of their collection or tastes

If only one were to be included, I'd rather it be P52 links (to owned decks) than wishlists, to avoid e.g. someone getting a deck they already have a brick of. Though I suppose you can't really isolate the collection since the wishlists are accessible from the same link

I'm in! Shipping would be to San Bruno, CA. Yeah I agree it's not really in the spirit of Secret Santa to make it TOO easy to just click and buy for your recipient, since at that point, it'd make more sense to just buy the decks we want ourselves? The gift is in the giving, not just getting the thing you want. Still, if it makes it easier, here's my wishlist:

-Bicycle Butterfly Playing Cards by RSVP Magic
-No. 17 by Stockholm 17 (branded or unbranded, I don't have either)
-Forest Deck by Orbit Brown (proceeds goes towards planting trees)

Shipping in my case to/from Germany, therefore everthing EU is pretty fine for me. Swiss would be okay too, since I live pretty close to the Border and wouldn't have to ship internationally, if that helps for pairing people up.

I'm in if its still open. I'm fairly new to card collecting so my wish list isn't anything crazy. Most anything I would like to try is still out on the market and not too spendy. I really like anything Madison has put out (all veteran issues aside, I am beginning to see this will be a unpopular comment but they feel good in my hands. I'm new to cards so cut me a break on this one. I didn't know the history you all have dealt with with this particular guy). Skateboard v1 or v2's I have been looking at (more so for the art than the play-ability. Was a skater kid growing up).
