About SVNGALI
Do not be confused with the magic trick deck Svengali, this brand's name is simply missing the letter 'E'. This is an established brand by both magicians Alex Pandrea and Edo Huang. Alex Pandrea is the man behind the House of Playing Cards and the creator of NOC [Nothing Only Colors] playing cards series. Edo Huang is both magician and playing cards designer: he creates magic tricks contents on social media as well as designing playing cards [he designed a few decks for School of Cardistry by Jaspas, Mantecore, Hocus Pocus, and some of the older decks from the Blue Crown]. In this brand, both Alex and Edo worked together to create a series of decks, unique in every editions to satisfy magicians, cardists, and collectors - Alex makes the concepts while Edo designs the cards. All of the cards are printed by United States Playing Cards Company on Thin Crushed Stock.

Episodes w/ Description
  • 00: PROTOTYPE - This is the start of the journey for the brand. The back design only consists of the brand's name of Svngali in stylize typography. Some of the design elements in the deck eventually foreshadowing the design of the next two series in the lineup. Because this is a prototype, the deck is printed by (possibly) Make Playing Cards. During the release of Half-Brick Collector's Box, this deck is included in it with adding a label signed by the founders and hand-numbered.
  • 01: FORBIDDEN - The first official deck of the brand. The tuckbox features a red foil snake swirling across from the bottom to the top, with it's head on the top of the tuckbox, thus when you open the deck, you can the snake in it's glory. The back design is a swirling snake with the letter grouped around to form the name of the brand, complete with red and white stripes on a black background. The theme surrounds the deck is about SIN, as in guilty pleasures.
  • 02: UP YOUR SLEEVE - The tuckbox features two hands of a magician with the left hand is concealing a card. The theme surrounding this is deck is about the art of magic, thus the 'up your sleeve' is where the trick is to hide a card to be produced. The back design is a text of "NEWTRICK" in stylized lettering with a hand colliding between it on orange background. Believe it or not, this deck is actually marked for colors!
  • 03: OFF THE WALL - The tuckbox and the back design are both inspired by street arts, more prominently the graffiti found on the walls. It is quite chaotic, yet it is beautiful. The artwork is as if both Edo and Alex are doing an art performance on the streets, that is what they would create on the walls. A very good deck for cardistry for it's vivid colors.
  • 04: SKY ISLAND - The deck is a remastered version of Edo's older deck design of Sky Island, choosing the color of turquoise as the main color. The main concept is that the deck is an airline souvenir deck of the fictional Sky Island Airlines, a flight said to take you to a dream island. The overall look is like that off a casino-styled deck: two logos on each end of the back design. The Aces and courts are revamped from the previous version. The tuckbox features a world map, in which, if you align three to four of the same decks (or flatten the tuckbox), you would see the bigger picture - the map has a red dot marking Edo's hometown.
  • 05: DEADEYE - A Halloween themed deck, this deck has the theme of creepy eyes that watches you around (remember Scooby Doo series where there are those paintings that watches). The tuckbox features a zombie hand pulling away a purple curtain, revealing the green monsters that stares. The back design of the design is a series of purple blinds with peeking eyes - the eye as the subtle one-way design.
  • 06: SKULL AND DAGGER - This deck has the pirates vibe to it, almost similar to that of Salt and Bone deck from Ellusionist, and maybe a mix of that deck with the Fulton's October vibes. You would notice the frequent appearances of skulls and daggers, hence the name of the deck. What's so special about the back design is that it can be utilized as a marked deck - it's a DIY Marked Deck. You can leave the deck as it is to be used as a normal deck with it's subtle one-way marking OR you can grabbed a Sharpie and create your own marking system with the provided areas within the back design.
  • 07: HUMAN STRANGER - Another Halloween themed deck, this deck has the vibes on the phrase: Eyes are windows to the soul. There are thematic illustrations and quotes regarding about eyes and souls. The tuckbox and back design featuring plants and eyes with the hints of bricks - like a garden with eyes peeking in. All of the aces featuring an Eye in different art styles. Could this be the flagship deck of the VFD (Voluntary Fire Department, an organization in "A Series of Unfortunate Events"?
