Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
I actually like the version on the right better, assuming the background element was centered more.

Well, maybe I've seen this design so many times that it's clouding my judgement at this point. I'll think about making the faces bigger - I'll make an update in few days.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
I'm sure clouded judgement is a problem. I think another is having such unique edge elements takes away from the theme of Tank Destroyers. You tried to put two edge elements and an altered photo together and it's too much. Sometimes less is better.Sviatoslav Pashchuk wrote:Well, maybe I've seen this design so many times that it's clouding my judgement at this point. Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
I pledged for these the way they are, but you have a very valid point here. The proposed revision is a little better, but certainly the sword/skull take up way more space than needed and the impact is lost due to it being repeated. Same for the other courts as well, would be better with the center more focused and the edge items smaller. That tuck really needs work too, as it currently is just a picture/poster on a plain tuck. Still, I think it's a great deck and was glad to see it finally come up, but very sad it's not doing well.RichK wrote: Unfortunately now, to my eye, the courts are a mess. I wish I saw it earlier but these two pictures of all 8 Kings is a turn off. Why? You devote 1/3 of the card area to the man and 2/3's is taken over by the skull and sword. (I must admit reading your campaign I loved the info for the graphic on the K/Q/J and Ace and how well they tied together.) But to me the edge graphics overtake the men and women, pushing them into the background.
NOTE - On further analysis it also appears the side design elements go right to the cut edge which may impact play-ability if it can be detected from the edge that these are court cards.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
I tried to change the size of people on the cards and I should say that I like the result. Also I changed the borders - now they're plain, without ornaments. Here are all the Kings.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
For me, those are perfect! The edge elements don't overpower the men and the clean edges made a huge improvement. Be sure to update the campaign pictures too.
Thanks for taking our suggestions Sviatoslav. I fear they will be too late but off to pledge!

This deck keeps looking better. I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been more activity on the pledges as he's been showing his designs and responding to constructive feedback.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
The tuck is killing this decks chances. For me the card presentation is easily an 8/10 but the tuck would be lucky to get 2/10. Such a shame, I really wanted this to succeed for the cards alone

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS
Hello! Today I made a decision to cancel the project. It was a hard decision, but I understand that now this project doesn't have the opportunity to reach the goal. I'd be grateful to get feedback from you regarding what parts of the project you liked or didn't like, so that I could take everything into consideration. You can write private messages or comments here.
I decided to change the design a little and to relaunch the project on December 2016.
Thank you all for the support and comments.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS (Canceled)
You should focus on the tuck box, as it is it's a bit plain and unoriginal. My main issue though is that there are already so many historic decks that fall into the same category and for me personally I don't find this category so compelling.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS (Canceled)
Definitely agree here, those wavy lines might be a nice way to break up the sections and add focus, but mostly they just detract from the clean look and distracts.PrincessTrouble wrote:I didn't care for the strip of static down the background.
The plain tuck was my main concern with this project, but I have no problem with a historic or WWII theme since it is focused on tank theme and mostly very well done.JuFiN wrote:You should focus on the tuck box, as it is it's a bit plain and unoriginal. I was in on the original and will be on re-launch, but I sure hope you can listen and consider options that might bring more on board next time to allow it to fund. Good luck!

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS (Canceled)
I have to say this looks similar (and I mean very similar) to Jody’s Aces series and not too far off his other decks (Robber Barrons, Devastation).Sviatoslav Pashchuk wrote:Hi there! We decided relaunch deck and change design. Coming soon.

Yay! Good to see this one coming back alive. As a history and military equipment lover, this is great. Magic Tapp, yeah it is similar but if you look back, Sviatoslav had this idea and launched it on KS in 2016, way before Jody did his Aces series. Also the tank deck has focused on the axis and allies, whereas Jody was just the aces from each side.

Re: Tank Masters - LIVE on KS (Canceled)
I do like the art and detail, but I'm not much of a WW or tank buff. This would probably be a pass from me even though I really like some of your past offerings.
I'm not sure if it is a translation thing or there is something I am kissing, but the second deck title, "Invasors"? I'm not sure what that means. Were you going for Invaders perhaps?

So the Soviet Union became “invasors” (whatever that might be) alongside with the Axis powers? Someone really ought to read the history books (and an English dictionary won’t come amiss).

From a Finn here, look up Winter War (1939-1940) from the history books and tell me more on how the Soviet Union weren't invaders.Magic Tapp wrote:So the Soviet Union became “invasors” (whatever that might be) alongside with the Axis powers? I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

Roope - I am not going to get into a historical argument here and far be it for me to whitewash what the Soviet Union did before or after but do you honestly think that WWII would have been won without the SU? Or that the nazis would be treating anyone better?Räpylätassu wrote:From a Finn here, look up Winter War (1939-1940) from the history books and tell me more on how the Soviet Union weren't invaders.Magic Tapp wrote:So the Soviet Union became “invasors” (whatever that might be) alongside with the Axis powers?
